Chapter 12 - Convection

Sofia's POV

It was morning now. I decided to call Jade to talk about my book.

It was ringing, Jade picked up.

I greeted as I got up from the couch, "Hey Jade."

She greeted as she asked, "Hey Sofia, what's up?"

I suggested as I smiled, "Nothing much but I was thinking we could talk about my book?"

She said as she asked, "Oh okay." "Sure what about it?"

I asked as I giggled nervously, "Hehe well I'm having some trouble writing so can we talk about ideas for the book?" "Or something to help me?"

She stayed silent for a bit before suggesting, "How about you go to a writer's convention?"

She paused as she said, "It should help you with your writer's block."

I giggled as I thanked her, "Thank you Jade you're the best."

She said in a funny tone as she stated, "Of course I am."

We shared a laugh before ending the call. I wrote a note and a note with my phone number on it before leaving Felix and Hugo's hotel room.

I went back to my hotel and got changed into some casual clothes. I went to the convention and to my surprise (!) I got crowded by people who read my books. Great (!).

Hugo's POV

I got up and changed when I saw a note from Sofia.

I read it to myself, To Hugo, Felix and Emma. I just want you to know I had a great time last night! I'm going to this writer's convention to help me with my writing so if you have any time before practice or it's your day off. You can come if you like.

From Sofia.

Soon Emma and Felix woke up and smirked as they read the note. I rolled my eyes. We got ready and went to the writer's convention. I saw a lot of people crowding Sofia.

I thought to myself, "Maybe they're just crowding her because they think she is pretty."

We saw Sofia smiled warmly as she came to us.

She asked politely as she smiled softly, "Emma, Felix can I talk to Hugo alone to tell him you know?"

I got confused but Emma and Felix seem to understand and went somewhere around the writer's convention.

Me and Sofia went to the a bench and sat in silence when Sofia decided to break it.

She said nervously as she smiled, "Um you're probably wondering why people crowding me?"

I stayed silence as Sofia continued, "I'm an author but the thing is I never told you." "I'm a famous romance author and write romance novels, that's why people sometimes recognise me or crowd me."

I realised what she said. I said coldly as I looked at her, "Oh so you're her." "I don't like your books, it's too lovey dovey."

I decided to act cold to her because I don't want to admit I like her books.

She smiled warmly as she nodded understandably, "It's alright, I don't expect everyone like or love books anyway."

I said coldly as I crossed my arms, "I don't believe in love, sooner or later you'll be broken."

She smiled softly as she shrugged, "It's okay but I hope we can still be friends."

I rolled my eyes as I said, "Sure we can still be friends."

She smiled sweetly as she hugged me, "Great, I don't want to lose a good friend like you." I slowly returned the hug. She paused as she apologised while smiling apologetically, "I'm sorry I didn't tell before I was a famous author."

I thought to myself as I blushed slightly, "Why did she say that?" "And why did I think that was cute?" I shake that thought out of my head quickly.

I gave her a small smile as I said, "It's okay, you probably had your reasons." "You tell me whenever you're ready."

She smiled as she suggested offering her hand in a friendly manner, "Come on let's go to see Emma and Felix are."

I took her hand and started to walk with her.
