Chapter 21 - Dance

Third POV

Hugo decided to follow Felix's advice.

Hugo asked in a somewhat confident tone as he had a curious gaze on Sofia while still dancing with her, "So what do you do in your free time?"

Sofia replied as she gave him a soft smile, "Umm nothing much, really." "Just reading books, or talking to my friends like Jade, Ruby and sometimes my big brother and sister."  "Sometimes writing my book or hanging with you guys which is really fun."

Sofia asked as she had a curious gaze on him, "So what do you do in your free time?"

Hugo replied with a somewhat awkward smile as he twirled Sofia around, "Well, I hang with you guys and I sometimes ice skate alone when Justin gets on my nerves."

Sofia nodded as she asked confused, "Why do you ice skate alone?" Sofia added as she said understandably, "I can understand that Justin gets on your nerves sometimes but why do you do it alone?"

Hugo answered honestly as he smiled softly, "It just helps me clear my thoughts." "From the fan girls and well everything else in my life."

They continued dancing together.

Hugo's POV

I looked behind Sofia to see if Felix had any advice. He mouthed to me as he had huge grin on his face, "Flirt with her."

My eyes widen as I mouthed to him with a shocked expression, "Seriously?"

He nodded firmly with a smile and thumbs up in my direction in a reassuring way with Emma. Oh god help me with these two dorks. They must be crazy. Me flirting? I guess I could try.

Sofia snapped her fingers at me as she gave me a stern , questioning look at me as she asked concerned, "Hugo?" "Hugo?" "You okay?"

I stumbled over my words losing confidence at this second while staring into her shining blue eyes looking at me with concern as I answered, "Y-yeah f-fine why do you ask?"

She giggled as she smiled brightly, "It's just you zoned out for a minute." "Is something bothering you?"

I answered nervously as I smiled softly, "Oh it's nothing to worry about."

She smiled as she nodded understandably. She gently put her chin on my shoulder as we danced to the slow song.

Until Justin came up to us. But not with his usual smirk at me. It was a smile but more directed to Sofia than me though.

Sofia's POV

I looked between Hugo and Justin. Yep some tension there.

I stated awkwardly as I stared in between of them, "Uhh how about you two focus less on your arch nemesis-ness later." They reluctantly teared their gaze away from each other. I sighed as I crossed my arms, "Okay um Justin why are you are here?"

He smiled as he turned to me and said in playful way, "Ohhh I came to see you darling."

I giggled as I shook my head, "Yeah yeah." I asked curiously as I pointed my finger at him, "Why are you really here?" "Other than the fact this is your party."

He said as he gave me a genuine, sincere smile, "Oh that I want to try to become friends with you guys." He added as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously, "And maybe hang out with you guys tomorrow." "Also to become friends with you, Emma, Felix and especially you Hugo."

Hugo looked taken aback and surprised for a minute but he smiled softly as he nodded, "Yeah I would like that."

My gaze softened on him as I nodded firmly, "Sure." "I would like that too."

He smiled as he bowed playfully, "I'll see you later princess."

I rolled my eyes playfully as he went away in the crowd, "Yeah sure." I shouted as he went away, "Nice to see you too hotshot!"

Justin's POV

I went to talk to Sofia how I wanted to hang with her and her friends because I really am trying to change.

After I spoke to Sofia and Hugo. They agreed that we could try to become friends with each other.

I thought to myself as I stared at her from a distance,  "It's so annoying, how much she likes him, it's so obvious."

I smiled softly to Emma and Felix. They came to me.

Felix smiled brightly as he chirped a curious chime in his voice, "So you and Hugo friends?"

I shook my head as I smiled, "Nope not yet." I asked curiously as I looked at them, "Hey do you guys know anything about Sofia?"

Emma laughed as she gave me a questioning look, "Well that's for you to find out Justin."

I laughed as I said calmly to Felix, "Your girlfriend is sure something." 

He giggled as he gave a featherlight kiss on her forehead, "I know, I'm very lucky to have her and my friends as well." 

I took a glance to Sofia as I whispered in dreamy tone to them mostly to myself, "Yeah." 

I think I'm starting to like her. For her. She's quite cute.

Third POV

Emma and Felix sighed while holding hands looking back at the love triangle. Felix whispered to me as he looked at Sofia and Hugo, "This is going to be complicated now isn't now?" Emma sighed as she nodded.

They smirked as they saw Hugo attempting to flirt or do a pun. Felix sighed playfully to himself as he whispered to himself looking back on Hugo, "Oh Hugo what am I going to do with you?"

Back to Hugo and Sofia. Hugo flirted with an awkward smile as he whispered to me, "If you were a vegetable, you'd be a cuteumber."

She gave me a confused look as she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion with a smile.

Hugo tried to do a pun. He gave a cocky, awkward grin as he twirled Sofia and pulled her closer, "Do you feline the attraction between us?"

Sofia looked at him incredulously as she giggled quietly to herself.

Sofia asked confused what was going on as she looked at Hugo, "Felix told you to do it?" "Didn't he?"

Hugo denied quickly as he shook his head, "What no."

She gave him a stern look, a mum would give to her kids.

Hugo muttered under his breath as he nodded, "Fine he did." He tried his version of flirting instead, he said genuinely as he chuckled shyly, "It's just I like to see you smile."

She gave him a tight hug as she smiled gently putting her head on his shoulder.

Sofia leaned in and kissed Hugo on his cheeks. She smiled shyly as she thanked me, "Thank you."

Hugo blushed very lightly, almost unseeable, you could even see the blush on his ears. He questioned her as he looked down, "For what?"

Sofia smiled happily referring to their friendship as she looked at me, "For everything."

They continued to dance happily together.
