Sofia's POV

I was walking with Hugo, Emma and Felix. When I heard a voice behind me.

The familiar voice asked, "Sofia?" "Is that you?"

I knew that voice anywhere. I asked politely as I looked at Emma and Felix, "Guys can me and Hugo be alone for a moment with this fan?"

They nodded understandably and they walked off.

I turned around as I asked Hugo, "Hugo I'll be a few minutes okay I need to talk to someone."

I turned to my Dad well birth dad. Why is he here you may ask?

We sat down on a bench. They was silence between us.

He scoffed as he crossed his arms, "So this is want you're doing now?" "Pff you know being an author won't get you anywhere in life."

I asked coldly as I gave him a suspicious look, "Why are you here Dad?" "To tell me what I should be doing with my life?" "Or to treat like you did when I was a kid?"

He shook his head as he replied, "Haha no." "I think what you're doing now is useless, utterly useless I tell you."

I gritted my teeth as I looked at him coldly sending a glare at him, "Dad you know very well by now I don't want you in my life." "Either does Mum." I stood up as I gave him a one last glare, "And you don't get to decide to my future Dad." "Mum divorced you so we could be happier." "I'm happier with Roland as my Dad, he actually supports my decision no matter what it is."

I was about to walk to Hugo when he grabbed my arm in a harsh way.

He growled as he demanded me, "You have to quit your nonsense and all that romantic mumbo jumbo and find a real job NOW."

I said with anger in my voice as I whispered looking at him in the eye, "Make me Dad."

He was about to say something when I heard Hugo in front of us.

Hugo's POV

I saw Sofia getting hurt by her dad I think. She was about to walk away when he grabbed her arm in a harsh way.

I was watching from a far. I came over before things got worse.

I put my hands in my pockets of my jeans as I demanded, "Sir I suggest you let go off this girl."

He scoffed as he looked at me, "Why should I?"

I smirked as I said calmly but seriously, "Sir in my defence she is a great writer and friend so I suggest you leave us now before I call the police on you."

He scoffed once again as he looked at me, "Ha, no what are you to her?" "Her boyfriend?"

I blushed slightly. But then I shook my head as I scoffed to him, "Why does it matter to you what I am to her?" "One this isn't your business, two stop this bullshit before I go to do something I might regret."

He let go of Sofia. He looked at me once more before walking away from us.

I asked concerned about her as I hugged her, "You okay?"

I could feel her shaking. I said softly as I looked down at her, "Hey you're alright." "You're okay."

She smiled as she returned my hug. She thanked me as she smiled, "Thank you."

I whispered as I smiled, "No problem."

I asked curiously as I looked at her, "Who was that?"

She sighed as she whispered, "My Dad." "My birth dad."

I asked confused as I was concerned about her, "Really?" "Why was he doing that to you?"

She sighed as she leaned back into a hug, "Let's just say for now, he'll never be satisfied."

I said not entirely convinced about that as I suggested, "Mmm, okay." "Shall we go to the ice rink m'lady?"

She giggled as she took my hand, "Of course we shall."

Third person POV

As Sofia and Hugo walked to the ice rink. Someone said in a disgusted voice, "Tsc that little brat."

Hugo whispered in her ear, "Ignore them, they're not worth your time."

Sofia whispered back softly with a big smile, "Okay thank you."

Hugo smiled back as they walked to the ice rink.
