Staring at the sky, I let out a breath trying to relax. My limbs feel tense as I wait for Y/N outside of the Gloomy Manor. A few days have passed since I last saw her. We've crossed paths a few times but never really spoke since the meeting with Princess Peach. I like to think that we aren't purposely avoiding each other, both of our schedules are, simply, full. I would do most of the work needed to finalize the treaty between the Mushroom Kingdom and Evershade Valley, Y/N would train her bending or the Six queens would drag her off to learn Royal Etiquette. Why they wanted to teach her, I still have no idea.

Looking at the Dark Moon, I think of Y/N's eyes and how they shine when she's happy. How they have this little twinkle in them when she smiles and laughs. How they shine when the light hits them just right.

"Sire?" Louis breaks my trance.

"Yes, Louis?" I turn to him. "Do you have it?"

Louis smiles at my eagerness. "Yes, I do." He pulls out a small box and hands it to me. "Here you are."

I take the box in my hands and open it. "Thank you, Louis." I say, admiring the necklace inside. Purple gems form a Deadly Nightshade Blossom in a golden outline, it gives a stained glass illusion. The Deadly Nightshade pendent is attached to a gold chain.

"Do you plan on giving it to her after the celebration?"

"Yes." My smile grows as I place a final spell on the necklace. "And this spell will ensure that she won't need a Spirit or Boo to guide her in or out of the mist." I look up at Louis. "Y/N will be able to visit whenever she would like."

"I'm sure she will love it, Sire." Louis's face falls. "But in concerned for how the Elder Tree will treat her, with the rumors and all." He whispers.

I sigh, closing the box and putting it in my pocket. "I am slightly concerned myself but I trust the Elder Tree and Y/N's innocence." I give Louis a reassuring smile.

He smiles slightly but, I can tell that he is still uneasy. "I hope that she will be accepted in the celebration."

I nod. "As do I."

"Your Majesty!" I here Anne yell from behind me. I turn around to see Jane, Anne, Boocifer, and Y/N walking down the path towards us. Anne is waving frantically while Jane and Y/N laugh at something Boocifer said.

Y/N looks beautiful in a puffy, white shirt with sleeves that fall off her shoulders. Her entire attire makes her look like a forest nymph, or even an elf. Snare has wrapped himself around Y/N's head like a crown. Tucked behind Y/N's ear is the Deadly Nightshade Illusion that I created for her.

"I still don't quite understand why you don't wear shoes, Y/N." Jane asks her while walking to Louis and I. Looking to Y/N's feet, I notice that she is, indeed, bare footed.

"Yeah! It's super weird." Anne agrees. "Don't your feet hurt?"

"When I fist started going bare foot, yeah, it did." Y/N giggles. "But I've gotten so used to it since I started Earthbending. A part of Earthbending is feeling vibrations in the ground and shoes make it so much harder to do that." She shrugs, her smile practically reaching her ears.

I sigh, watching her. She looks so at ease this afternoon. I walk up to her after giving Louis a side glance and he gives me a knowing look. I shake my head and continue to Y/N, lavishing in her laughter. As I approach her, Boocifer leans over to Y/N and whispers something in her ear causing her to glare at him with a slight blush.

"Hello there, my dear." I smile as I reach my hand out to Y/N. "Are you ready to go?"

Y/N smiles up at me as she takes my hand. "Yes, I am."
