~To The Story~
He was the first guy you ever had a crush on. Maybe that's why you felt drawn to him, even now? Or maybe it's because his mother wants you to look after which made you feel obligated to do so, especially when she told you a bit as to why he's the way he is. Who knows, all you do know is that you didn't want to stop seeing Asano.
"(Y/n)-san?"
"Eh?" You blinked, snapping out of your daze when you heard Asano's voice. Once out of your daze, you remembered where you were and who you were with.
Just right outside of your school, you sat on one of those picnic tables the students use to have lunch, with Asano sitting across from you, his violet eyes staring at you. No one seems to be around, so it was a good spot to speak Asano privately.
"Don't ask me to meet you, then daze out," Asano said coolly.
"Sorry, sorry." You said apologetically.
"Now what is it?" Asano's voice ushered you to speak.
You decided to get straight to the point. "Why weren't you here yesterday?"
"That's none of your business," Asano said flatly.
"Eh? Was it a family emergency?"
"It's none of your business." He said more firmly than last time, trying to get his point across that he didn't want to explain to you the reason as to why he was gone for the day.
The way he said it made you go to immediate obedient mode. When he uses that kind of tone, it made you think that anyone would naturally just say 'yes sir'. His mother was right, he did inherit most of his genes from his father.
"Sorry I asked, I was just worried about you." You muttered, almost sounding embarrassed for saying that.
"Hm?" The strawberry blond knitted his eyebrows at you, visibly confused as to why you sounded so genuine to him. The two of you don't know each other that well, and you were already concerned about his absence?
"Well, never mind that. I got your lunch just like you asked." Asano maneuvered his hands to get his bag; unzipping it and took a box out of it. "Here," he handed you the object.
"Oh, thanks," you said, receiving the box, and quickly noting that the box looked like a take-out from a restaurant. You didn't think much of it and opened the box to see what he got you.
An audible gasp escaped your lips as your eyes widen in shock. Inside, you saw a couple of rows of neatly placed sushi. And this sushi wasn't the same as getting from your local sushi bar.
"Dude!" you shut the box, eyes darting back at him. "I can't accept this!"
Asano gave you a confused stare as to why you were acting that way over mere sushi. "And why is that?"
"This is expensive sushi! I was okay with you buying me something from the school's cafeteria!" You flushed. You never had a guy spend so much money on you!
With a deadpan expression, Asano said. "I'm not spending my money on food like the cafeteria."
But he's okay spending extra money on food? What is wrong with him?
"Wait. You never had any food from the cafeteria? You should, some of their snacks are pretty good."
"This coming from someone who has low standers for quality food. No thank you." You irked at his words. And he said with no hesitation as well. "If this dissatisfies you, I'll get you something els--"
