~To The Story~

Truth be told, Gakushu wasn't entirely sure how he was supposed to act around you. For the most part, he was talking to you as if nothing had happened because that's how it was supposed to be. A simple girl admitting their interest in him, only for the overachiever to turn you down. It is a story that has been going back since he was very young. It was only natural for him to grow desensitized to the whole confession thing.

But this time, it was different.

He wasn't supposed to get this weird fluttery feeling inside of him when he saw you. Yet, he did.

Of course, however, he ignored it because there were other matters he was concerned about. Miho just left him, but should be back pretty soon, and to avoid drama, he was quick to dismiss you. You didn't take the hint and came running after him.

Literally running after him. While wearing sandals.

You tripped, but he was quick enough to catch you. He prevented you from falling, but he couldn't prevent your hair from getting caught on the button of his shirt.

He was able to set you free despite his shaky fingers.

Although, your hair ended up getting messed up. You barely seemed to care about that, but that didn't stop him from feeling the slightest bit guilty. That's why he offered to fix it for you. Because if you're going to take the time to look nice in your yukata, then you should at least have a nice hairdo to go with it.

And much to his relief, you ended up liking how he did your hair.

That was all the time he had left for you. Miho accidentally spilled some slushy onto her shirt and left to go and clean it up. She was going to be back soon.

Though, she was taking a while.

He was starting to get worried, but it was like he had a sixth sense and could feel his concern. The model quickly sent him a message letting him know that she was on her way.

After about a minute, she sent him another text, saying she ran into Ren while she was on her way. Now they're getting candy apples and telling him to come.

Gakushu sighs but agrees. He is getting tired of waiting around.

"Yippy, you won."

Looking to his far right, Gakushu notices a young couple near a shooting stall. Are they still there?

The boyfriend has been trying to win his girlfriend one of the prizes for the past 10 minutes. It was too much work for some stupid prize, so he wondered why the boyfriend was even trying. He even looked frustrated a few times.

However, the frustration completely faded once he gave her the stuffed toy. He smiled at his girl. She clapped and took the toy to hug it.

That was another thing he didn't understand. Why was she so happy about getting some stupid stuffed toy? Those toys aren't worth what you spend on winning them.

Yeah, he won a toy for Miho, but only because she asked. Not because he was trying to impress her. Besides, with his skills, it would only take one try for someone like him. For an average person, it would take a million tries.

It took the couple to walk away to make Gakushu remember what he was supposed to be doing. He blinks and winces when he remembers where he should be going.

He frowns, shakes his head for getting distracted like that, and walks off to find Miho.

The candy apple booth should be easy to find.
