Birthday Chapter

I didn't even plan to write a special chapter for Gakushu's birthday. Never considered it. At first, I just considered writing a quick one-shot on my Tumblr page. But, a user on Wattpad asked me if I was going to do one and... idk, I just suddenly felt like doing a birthday chapter lmao.

Anyway, this chapter isn't considered canon btw. Gakushu's birthday would get brought up in the canon story. Not going to say anything else, because I don't want to give away any spoilers. Though, I hope you enjoy seeing (y/n) and Gakushu as a couple.

~To The Story~

"Happy birthday!"

The second Gakushu opened the door you flung hundreds of confetti at him. You grin from ear to ear as you watch a handful of the colourful bits of paper gracefully fly around him. Most fell onto the ground, but some landed on your boyfriend's hair and shoulder.

The sight was funny within itself and while you did plan on giving him a mini heart attack, you didn't plan on the slight disapproving stare he had when he opened his eyes and looked down.

You were confused until you looked down and saw the mess you made.

"Oops." You mumbled. You were determined to make today at least somewhat magical for him, but it seemed as though you were off to a poor start considering you made a mess. You didn't think this through. "I-I can clean that up." You said hurriedly.

Gakushu only sighs and patiently shakes his head. "Don't worry about it. Just come inside now, it's cold." He ushers you into his grand home. He'll just clean it up later before his mom comes home.

You follow him into the spacious living room, which is eerily quiet without any signs of celebration. It's almost as if the house is holding its breath, waiting for you to bring some life to the space. His parents insisted on staying home with him or at least taking him out for his birthday, especially his mother, but he convinced them to treat this day like any other day.

Plus, he also told them he would rather be alone with you today, so his parents trust you enough to at least bring some joy for today. You always do. If someone is going to annoy him on his birthday, he would rather it be you.

"Was throwing paper at my face all you had planned for my birthday?" Gakushu says as he helps you take off your puffy jacket so he can hang it in the closet. "Because if not, then I think it's a good time to tell me what else you have planned before you trash the house."

"Well, I did plan on throwing this cake at your face," you said jokingly.

"Very funny."

Speaking of cake, you know Gakushu does not have a single sweet tooth in that mouth of his, but that didn't stop you from staying up past midnight last night to make him a cake. When you asked him what kind of cake he wanted, Gakushu simply responded that he didn't want a cake and even admitted that he's never had a birthday cake.

It was his mistake to admit that to you because it gave you more reason to bake a cake.

Gakushu led you to the kitchen where you placed the cake while the strawberry blond went to get the plates and forks and make his tea and your hot chocolate. You were careful to place the bag on the island kitchen. From the bag you pull out the homemade cake from the bag, the aroma of vanilla and chocolate wafting through the air. It's a simple but beautiful design, with "Happy Birthday" scribbled in your messy handwriting.

"Guess how many cakes I've ruined before making this beauty?" You said with a proud smile, trying to fish out some compliments.

"Six," Gakushu said without missing a beat as he put the plates down.
