~To The Story~
Gakushu walked into the school at his usual time. He would like to try and keep a good attendance record. That also included no absences. Well, actually, he did miss one day this semester. He didn't want to, but Miho convinced him to skip that day. She was very emotional that day, so refusing her was something he couldn't do.
Stepping inside the school, Gakushu was going to head over to his shoe locker, however, before he could take another step, his violet orbs caught something out of place. Halting his tracks, he saw someone's frame near your locker.
It obviously wasn't you, nor was it your friend Naoki. What was that person doing?
"What are you doing to (y/n)-san's locker?"
The so-called culprit flinched upon hearing Gakushu's cold voice. He swiftly turned around with a nervous expression written on him. However, his nervous expression was not the only thing Gakushu noticed. His violet eyes wandered down and saw the boy holding an envelope. A white envelope with a red heart tacked onto the seal.
Ah, now he understood. It was just a love letter. For you apparently. If that was all then he has no reason to confront this boy now, does he? The answer is no, no he doesn't.
"Sorry, carry on." Gakushu strides past him, rubbing the back of his neck.
That was more embarrassing than he liked to admit. Oh well, just as long as no one was pulling a prank on you then everything is fine...
Gakushu's expression fell.
It was supposed to be fine, but for some reason, the thought of a guy interested in you nagged him. Were you interested in someone? He doesn't recall you bringing up any sort of love interest. Quickly, Gakushu concluded that he should drop the subject altogether.
It's none of his business who asks you out.
"Have you ever eaten here?" You asked Gakushu who sat across from you.
"No, I have not." He confessed.
"Well once you try the desserts here and the tea, you'll make a habit of coming here." You stated, lips curled into a pleasant smile.
"Don't be surprised if it doesn't turn out that way." He said matter-of-factly. "I'm not big on desserts. Though I suppose how one would see the appeal of it. However, unlike you I have more self-control and won't dive into a habit- Are you listing to me?!" Gakushu scorned when he saw you ignoring him and had your attention focused on the menu.
"Huh? Yeah. Kinda. You were probably saying something about how you're too good for any of the food here."
"That's not what I sa--"
"What are you getting?" You cut him off, not wanting to deal with his chiding.
Gakushu narrowed his eyes at you for a moment then sighed, "I'm not sure yet," he eventually replied, his orbs glazes over the menu.
Although he did say he wasn't big on sweets, some of the names and pictures on the menu do sound mouth-watering. If they tasted as well as they sounded then maybe this place be a pass for him. Then again, he wasn't in the mood, so maybe just a cup of coffee would do?
When Gakushu flickered his eyes to you, he recognized how you had a far more uplifting expression than he did when you looked at the menu. He would probably never understand why you show such joy when it comes to eating. He would normally deem someone as a glutton. However, in your case, it seemed more endearing than anything because of how something so simple could brighten up your mood.
