~To The Story~

"I need help."

You heard a loud sigh on Gakushu's end through the intercom. That loud sigh made you tense up a bit, yet, you kept your finger on the button, waiting for him to respond. It would annoy you as well if someone came unannounced to your home and ask for help, so you understood his irritation. But your state of emergency made you forget to empathize with him.

"What is it?"

"Um." You toyed with your hair. "It's my social studies worksheets. These worksheets were given to me and my classmates a few weeks ago. It's meant to help us study for final exams. There was a lot... and not to mention, very hard, so I told myself I would do them when I had... time."

"So you procrastinated?" He summed up matter-of-factly.

Your shoulders tensed from his accurate accusation. "... yeah, that's pretty much the gist of it." You sheepishly smiled.

"And you expect me to help you? You know how much I hate slackers. The last thing I wanna do is help someone like you with their work when they don't take it seriously in the first place."

Yeah, this is what you were expecting. Though, there was no way you were going to go down this easily. After spending some time with Gakushu, you learned things about him that you can use to your advantage.

"Oh, that's fine." You fought back a smug look. "You don't have to help me, I'll just ask Karma-kun. I heard his teaching methods are far better than yours. You can call it 'underappreciated' since your popularity overshadows him. I bet I can get better grades if I ask him for help."

A long silence was followed, which told you how you indeed struck a nerve in him.

"I hate you." Gakushu groaned, though there was no malice at what he said. You stifled a giggle. "Alright, alright. I'll help you. Come on in."

You mentally patted yourself on the shoulder for luring in the Gakushu Asano into your little trap.

Once hearing the buzz, you allowed yourself through the gate. Making sure the gate closed from behind you, you proceeded to walk towards the house.

Halfway through, you stopped when the front door opened. To no one's surprise, there stood Gakushu, staring back at you, seriously and maybe a bit annoyed.

"I want to make one thing clear before we start." He began, sounding like someone who had authority over you. "Don't you dare think I'm going to you give all the answers. I'll guide you sure, but you're going to have to figure the answers out on your own."

Understandable. You came here knowing Gakushu can be a bit strict, so you're pretty much mentally prepared.

Docile to his stern behaviour you raised your hand.

"Yes?"

"Can have snack breaks?"

Gakushu softly sighed, not surprised that you would ask a question like that. "If you earned it, yes."

"Yay!" You smiled, cheerily.

Gakushu did not share your joyous emotion, however. Not caring about him, you continued your walk and Gakushu let you in the front door and then shut the door behind him. While you were taking your shoes off, Gakushu went ahead to lead you to the living-room.

"Is your mom home?" You asked, following up behind him and picking up on the complete silence in the house.

"No. She's out with my father."
