A/N: I'm soooooo sorry I haven't posted in so long. I was really busy. I hope you enjoy this one!
During Nightfall:
"Natalie, honey go upstairs," I told her. A/N: Just in case you don't remember, Natalie was Amy's human name before.
"Daddy why?" she asked.
"Just do what I say okay honey?" I replied. She obeyed, walking up the stairs.
"Hello?" I called out. "Is anybody there? Hello?" The sound got louder. "Hello?" Still no answer. I took out my phone from my pocket and started to dial 911. As I pressed my finger to press "9" I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head. The world started to spin and my vision went black.
My eyes flutter open. I felt something against my cracked lips. When I looked down, I saw that my hands were tied up to the back of a pole and my legs are knotted with rope. I peered to my left and saw my wife in the same position tied to a different chair. My beautiful wife. She was now covered in soot and her once brunette hair was now jet black. But something else caught my eye. An enormous wall of fire surrounded the pitch black area covered in rocks. Oh my god, Natalie. Where's Natalie? My head turns everywhere but she was nowhere. What had they done to her.
I screamed hoping to grab my captor's attention. A figure comes out of the ashes. They kneeled next to me and took off my mouth covering. I gasped for air and begged, "Do whatever you want with me just don't hurt Natalie."
A smooth, feminine voice said, "Now what makes you think I'm the one who hurt you." She took of her hood. "My name is Gisela and I saved you."
"If you saved me why did you have my wife and I tied up like this?" I asked.
"I anticipated you would have this reaction." Gisela simply replied.
When I started to open my mouth she said, "Are you going to keep asking questions or do you want to see what really happened." When I didn't answer she called over another hooded figure.
He put two fingers to my temple. "What are you--"
Fragments of memories fill my mind swirling around like a tornado. Then, like pieces in a puzzle it all clicked.
I'm brought back to my own home. I'm calling out to see who it is. But I'm not me. I see a group of people walking towards the door. I feel like I recognized one of them. But I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Then it hits me. I suck in a deep breath. Sophie, I think. One of the people in the group step up and tamper with the lock. The door immediately opened. The group walks in. I called out again. Sophie stepped up behind me and closed her eyes as if she was concentrating. I collapsed into a heap. They walked over to my wife and Sophie does the same thing except when she fell, her head hit the corner of the table. The group of children began to drag our bodies but one stopped in their tracks. He said something and the group scurried off leaving our unconscious bodies where it was. Gisela walked in to the house. She tended to my wife's wounds. Another figure comes in and held our limp bodies. They both held up what looked like a stick and shouted something. The next second we disappeared.
The memory ended and I'm pulled back into reality. I gave a small gasp, "You really did save me."
Gisela nodded her head. "Sophie. It's her doing all of this."
"H-how did I fall though? She didn't do anything."
"She didn't do anything physically, " Gisela corrected. "She inflicted on you. It's when negative emotions are inflicted on another person. It causes great pain. You would know."
"But... how?"
Gisela cracked a smirk, "Well she's an elf. And so am I. Humans are so small minded. There's a whole other world that you don't even know about. And this world is filled with things that humans couldn't even imagine. Take as an example, Sophie has abilities. Powers, if you will. And she and her little group of friends are willing to hurt just about anyone with these powers. Even her own parents."
My fingers curled into a fist, "I swear of she hurts Natalie, I will--"
"And that's why you're here." Gisela interrupted. "We're willing to offer you a deal. You get to help us defeat Sophie but only, and ONLY if you do exactly what I say and you don't resist."
My mind flashed back to the memory. How Sophie hurt me. How Sophie can hurt anyone. I glanced at my wife who gave a small gasp of life. Sophie did that to her. Sophie could be doing that to Natalie. My Natalie.
I looked at Gisela straight in the eyes, "Deal."
But little did I know, I was being fed a bucket of lies.
A/N: This one is soooooo short.
