Suddenly, Riptide realized that he was alone with Tsunami and looked down at his talons. Tsunami tapped his shoulder with her tail, and he turned his head to her.
"Riptide," She began slowly, "You know how I said I needed more time to think?" Riptide's throat dried up and he nodded nervously. "I forgive you."
Riptide felt like he could fly to all three moons and back, "Really?"
Tsunami grinned, "Yes, squid-brain."
Riptide started to smile as well, then remembered something, "You don't think the Queen would kill me for this, do you?"
Tsunami wriggled closer. "I won't let her," she said fiercely.
Then she turned her snout towards him, and they kissed.
Both came away blushing, and Riptide wanted the moment to last forever. Then, Tsunami whispered, "Would you like to come to live at Jade Mountain with me?"
