"You live here?" Amelia said, getting out of her car. She looked around and seemed uncomfortable. Was it because my neighbors were werewolves?

"I do. My parents said the rent was cheap. It's pretty nice. I finally have my room and bathroom." I muttered, embarrassed that I had let that slip.

"I know that feeling all too well." She gave me a weak smile.

"Where are we going?" I asked, wanting to change the subject. This was too depressing, and I didn't want to think about my hardships.

"Oh! Trust me! You're going to love it! My brother is meeting us there." She said mischievous. Was she going to murder me? I wonder, raising an eyebrow. I brushed the thought away and hopped in her car. "Your dress is beautiful, by the way! Black is my favorite color, so it looks even better on you! And that necklace too."

"Oh, thank you! When you said to wear something elegant, I panicked because I had no fancy dresses. But I found this on sale!" I could feel the blush form on my cheeks.

"Well, only you could've pulled it off. And your braids. You took them off. What a bummer, I liked them."

I let out a sad sigh. My mom was supposed to fix them for me but wasn't here. I had no choice but to take them out. "Yeah, I love them, but they are a pain to maintain sometimes."

"Well, next time you want braids, let me know. I know a great hairstylist living out of town specializing in braids. She does an amazing job! I will gladly pay for them too 'cause they are not cheap." She said.

"That's very kind of you. But thank you, I'm fine. I'm not allowed to let anyone else besides my mom style or cut my hair. It's a family tradition." I bit my lip.

"I understand, but if you ever change your mind, you know where to find me." She said, rubbing my shoulder. Her hands were cold to the touch. Her nails were painted a dark red shade and were long and sharp. They reminded me of the vampire nails that people do for Halloween.

"Now that you mentioned that. Can I tell you something funny?" I said.

"Of course!"

"I didn't pay for this dress and necklace set. This one guy offered to pay for it." I muttered.

"Oh? Is he rich?" She wiggled her eyebrows.

I nodded. "Very rich. My bill for all this was about a thousand dollars."

"A sugar daddy?" She asked. More like a sugar mate.

"Nah. He has a girlfriend who hates me. But he likes to spend his money on me." I twirled my hair.

"Ah, yes. Nothing I love more than taking advantage of rich men. The only thing they're useful for." She laughed.

"You don't like men?" I questioned her.

"Hell no. I'm a lesbian. Is that fine with you?"

"No, no. That's fine. I mean, I'm bisexual, so? Almost there?" I shrugged.

"You are so close." She joked, laughing. "Now come on, let's go before my brother gets annoyed."

"We almost there?" I asked. We've been driving for a while now. I didn't mind. I was just very anxious to go on my first date. Should I call it a date? It's just two girls going out to eat. "Hopefully, the food is good."

"It's just one of my favorite spots. Trust me, you'll love it! You do like Italian food, right?"

"I'm not sure. I've never had it." I replied. My parents were poor. We never had enough money to go out to restaurants. Sometimes, we could barely afford groceries.
