~NEXY POV~

When I woke up, Amy was lying down next to me. She had taken care of me last night cause I barely could.

She found out what happened between Bryan and me last night. Bryan had sent the pictures to my phone while I was in the shower, and Amy saw them.

Every single one.

She got so sick to her stomach that she ended up vomiting. I told her not to tell anyone else. She was furious, but I told her it would only make me feel worse. At that moment, Amy was close to calling Damien and telling him everything. She couldn't take it anymore.

I went into the bathroom and got ready like I did every morning. The only good thing was it was Sunday, and I had no school.

"Hey. Morning." I said, coming out of the bathroom. Amy was awake now.

"Morning." She yawned. "You know you talk in your sleep?"

"I do?" Oh, gods. Did I say something embarrassing last night? "What did I say?"

"You talk about cars and tools. That's so fucking weird." She laughed.

"Weird, 'cause my dream wasn't about cars," I said, sitting at the edge of the bed.

"What was the dream about?" She asked.

"Eudora. I dream about Eudora all the time." I replied.

"Did you name her?" She asked.

I shook my head. "Bryan named her. For such a horrible person, he picked such a beautiful name."

"I bet she's beautiful like her mother." She smiled at me.

I shook my head again. "She looks just like Bryan. They even got the same green eyes and dimples. The only thing she has of mine is the hair color."

"She's a mermaid? Nexy. What the fuck." Amy stood up.

"It's okay. I don't know what my mom did, but she won't be able to shift or use her powers. Probably the same thing she did to me."

"She took your powers away?" Amy asked.

"She did. She told me. I can still shift and breathe underwater. But that's all. I couldn't shift that last time at the beach because she temporarily blocked my shift. I don't know how, but there's more to my mom than just a simple mermaid."

"You think your mom is special somehow?" She asked.

"I think my mom is hiding a big secret from me."

"Now you know how Damien feels not knowing the truth about you. He deserves to know. He's your mate."

"Amy, you do know what would happen if Damien and I ended up together? I can't do that to him, Mike, or even Luca. I wouldn't be able to live with myself."

"Well, I'll rather be kicked out of the pack than have Tasha as a Luna." Amy sighed.

"I wouldn't make a good Luna."

"And you think Tasha will? She's gone fucking nuts since she learned you are Damien, mate."

"There are so many things wrong with me. I can't even defend myself against my rapist ex-boyfriend. How am I supposed to protect all of you?" I said, taking a deep breath. I should've never moved here.

"Damien can help you. He's in pain too, you know." She said.

"He's in pain?"

"He can feel your pain. He wants to help you. You can trust him." Amy said.
