A New Face (KAI PARKER AND READER)

It was about a week before the wedding and Caroline had convinced me to go with Jo for her celebration. I kind of liked Jo, she was a sweet girl with good intentions but I tried to not let her impression grow on me because I knew shed be dead by the end if the month.

Me and Kai basically talked about it every night before bed. We slept together in the same room and in the same bed. Damon decided that its be smart to room him and me together because we were apparently a thing, even though I have stated multiple times we are just friends.

This morning I decided to sleep in because this was the morning I'd be dragged to celebrate my best friends sister wedding, which was exactly what I didnt want to be doing. I woke up to the sound of an angry blonde rushing in our room.

"Y/n Salvatore! Get your ass out of bed we need to meet with Jo in a half hour! Your not even awake!" She yelled throwing the door open, I groaned and put my head under my pillow. Caroline turned to Kai who was brushing his teeth in the bathroom. "Kai, get her up and out of bed please! I want her downstairs, awake and presentable in 20!" She said leaving.

Kai walked over to my side of the bed and lifted my pillow, trying to be kind. "Angel... time to get up. You need to go make friends with my sister so she can trust you, baby." He said setting the pillow to the other side of my head.

"Kai, you have exactly 5 seconds to explain why the fuck you just woke me up." I said leaning up and looking at him with a blank face.

"Because its morning and you should be awake. Plus, my sister."

"Oh interesting." I said nodding while flipping on my back and staring at the ceiling. "I didn't know you wanted to die today." I told him while turning my head to face him, I faked a smile and he shook his head with a smile then looked at the floor.

"You cant kill me Angel-"

"Well it's too late, I've already decided how." I said leaning up and stretching.

"Well I'll just come right back, I'm already dead babes." He chuckled while standing up and walking away from me, I scoffed and stood up.

I got dressed and we headed downstairs together like a married couple late for work. He was handing me things I forgot and I was fixing up his clothes.

"Well, look at the couple." Damon teased. I nodded as I pushed a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

"Damon be quiet."

"Yes Damon, we are just friends." Kai backed me up, it shocked me so much. I looked back it him and I smiled with a slight nod as my attention lead back to the bourbon across the room.

"Well you guys dont act like friends-"

"Damon, we are friends. F R I E N D S"

"So then you wouldnt mind if I asked him out..?" Bonnie said, then all eyes shot to her and I got flustered and upset within a matter of seconds.

"I mean- yeah, sure. Hes not my problem, if anything you'd be doing me a favor. He kicks me to much in bed, and he steals the blankets." I lied, he doesn't steal the blankets or kick, he shares them and cuddles me even if he doesn't mean to.

Bonnie nodded with a smile and pushed her short hair behind her ear as she looked down at her lap. I scoffed quietly and started to power walk for the bourbon that was screaming at me from across the room.

"Y/n Salvatore, no! No bourbon  breath this early in the morning young lady!" Caroline yelled at me from the front door, making me stop in my tracks and sigh. She scrunched her finger, instructing me to come over with her.
