We lay on our backs staring up and the stars holding each other. I finally stood up and walked to the edge of the cliff.
"Come here," I demanded, he shot up and walked towards me and rested his hands on each side of my neck. "Hold me, dont let go. Just breathe." I said as I leaned my heels over the edge of the cliff. He nodded and I leaned back, falling to the sand.
I closed my eyes as I fell, I opened them as soon as I felt his touch leave my body, he hovered over me and smiled. Then there was nothing as I felt my back drown in pain from the sand.

I woke up gasping for air about 15 minutes later as I woke up naked on the beach sand. I looked over and Kai was stil dead, I laid back down to just stare at the stars as I heard Kai wake up breathing heavily.
"Hey," I said alert, rolling over to his aid. "Your fine. Wasnt that awesome?" I asked smiling as he slowly laid himself back down and I ran my fingers in his hair.
"Yeah... that was definitely something." He paused and didn't say anything for a moment as he looked past me and up into the sky. "Why did we do that?" He asked with uneven breathing.
"Because it was peaceful."
"Tell that to my chest, I feel like it's still broken."
"I mean I just love the feeling, most people see falling as a sign of weakness." I explained laying my head on his chest, ignoring his complaining. "A sign of someone letting gravity pull them down, but I dont. I love the feeling. The rush of air around your body as your hair flows around your face. The feeling of your stomach dropping so far you get the sensation of a tickle, that feeling of freedom you get. Almost like a flying brid."
"But your not flying, your dropping. And when you finally hit the ground... that's when you know it over. Because the feeling of freedom and rush of the intensity turns into pain and regret and guilt. So that's why you should enjoy the peace before you fall, cause when you start, you just falling to your death. Because that peace before you fall, it isnt permanent."
"But neither is pain." I said looking up at him with adventurous eyes, he smiled and kissed my forehead. "Plus, we cant feel pain. If we ever want the pain to go away, all we have to do is shut it off and just like that- you have your freedom and peace back. Even if your not doing peaceful things." I muttered into his chest.
"You have such an open mind," He whispered into my ear. "That's one thing that amazes me about you. How you can be so dangerous and so cruel, but be so caring and understanding and open with people. You amaze me."
I smiled against his chest and didnt respond, I didnt know how to respond. Instead I just closed my eyes and fell asleep on his chest, which is exactly what I longed for since I told him I'd see him the next morning and he never returned.

I woke up from the sight on the sunrise shadowing over us. I sat up and turned toward the sun, blocking my hand from the light.
I snickered and stood up, walking towards the water. I walked to the edge where the water lightly surrounded my toes, it was warm so I decided to walk further.
It got to my knees before I looked behind myself and saw Kai standing there watching me. He smiled and started walking towards me once I stopped.
"I suddenly feel very aware that we are completely.. naked." I stammered as he laid his cold hand on my lower back, making me shiver from the touch of his metal rings.
"Dont feel insecure Angel, your beautiful to me and that's all that matters."
"Well thank you." I smiled as I reached my hands down and splashed his whole body with water.
