"y/n get your ass up or we'll be late!" Keigo shouted from the living room, I rolled my eyes. "I'm coming, calm down!" I responded. It was interview day and we were running late, I shoved my phone into my pocket, checked my reflection one last time and flew to the living room."Finally, now let's hurry. We'll fly there," He said as he opened the window for me. "After you," He smirked, I rolled my eyes and jumped out, flipping him off on my way down. He closed the window and followed suit.
We flew next to each other for a while before Keigo decided to be an ass and sped up. I frowned my eyebrows, is he trying to challenge me? I sighed and picked up speed again passing him successfully. We raced all the way to the TV studio, but I won in the end.
"That's what happens when a hawk races a falcon.." I panted. He rolled his eyes with a shit eating grin. "It was worth a try.." He sighed. As soon as we entered the building we were pulled away by makeup artists and stylists. They ushered us both into different changing rooms and started pampering with our appearances.
We were then taken to a room with cameras and a shit ton of lighting equipment. We were told to sit down on a couch and wait. After a few minutes the interviewer came out and sat on a chair in front of the little couch, she sorted her papers and gave a small smile.
"We'll be on air in a minute now," She said, we both nodded. I gave Keigo a nervous glance and he patted my arm with a reassuring smile. The count down for the interview started and I gulped. "Hello everyone and welcome back! Today we are joined with the number three hero Hawks and his little sister, the brand new hero-in-training, Falcon!" She announced while smiling at the camera.
Keigo and I both waved at the camera. As I was looking at the camera my eyes caught something, no someone, peculiar standing behind it. It was one of the commissions agents. I clenched my fists slightly at the sight of the tall agent. Of course they'd send someone to babysit us, don't want their little secrets leaking now do they?
"So, Falcon, we have a few questions for you and your brother here, but let us start with you," She smiled. God she smiles so much, how does she manage... "Ask away, I'm ready." I grinned, putting up my little confident act for the cameras. "Let's start simple, how is life at U.A.?" She asked, I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Can I get any creative questions?
"It's pretty fun to be honest, and there are a lot of interesting people there." I answered truthfully. She nodded. "What do you think of your classmates?" She continued, I gulped. "They're all very awesome and talented, I look forward to learning with them all."
She nodded and cleared her throat. "Now we have a question about the winner of the sports festival, Katsuki Bakugou. Do you think that he has any villainous qualities or intentions? Speaking from what we saw during the festival and your fight we are quite concerned." She stated.
My eyes widened at her question. "What? Of course not, Bakugou will be a great hero someday. I assure you that his aggressive nature is not villainous, in fact he is one of the most heroic people I have ever known." I said, sourness seeping from my voice. Anger is an understatement, I was furious.
How dare she ask such a question and accuse a child of being a villain? Me and Bakugou did have our disagreements but I definitely don't hate him, and I definitely don't think of him as a villain. Keigo squeezed my arm comfortingly and smiled at me.
"Thank you for your input, now Falcon, do you feel that the teachers at U.A. are doing a good job protecting students? We are quite concerned about that matter after we saw your state after the USJ incident.." She said, a picture of me and Midoriya getting rolled out on stretchers appeared on the screen behind her.
I quickly glanced at the commission agent for help, suddenly grateful that he was there, and he nodded. I cleared my throat and said that the teachers did a great job at protecting us under the circumstances that we were in. I did my best to try and not sound nervous when I spoke but it was barely working.
"Hawks, do you really think that U.A. is a safe place for your sister after you saw her state after the USJ incident." She asked my brother. My brother answered her question with an answer similar to mine and she understood that she should move on, because she wouldn't be getting a different answer any time soon.
"So Falcon, we heard that you were there when the hero killer attacked, how did you feel when you met him up close?" She asked, returning her questions to me. Shivers ran down my spine at the thought of Stain, flashbacks of what he said to me flashing before my eyes.
Everything about him, his evil smile, his manipulative voice and his sickening knives all flooded back to my memory as if the wall that suppressed them was now shattered into pieces. My hands found a feather to stroke so that I could soothe myself and my gaze became distant.
We're the same...
"Terrifying... He was terrifying..." I muttered, Keigo sensed my discomfort and tried to draw away the attention from me. "I was so relieved to hear that pro-hero Endeavor was there!" He laughed nervously while squeezing my hand. I took a deep breath and squeezed back signaling that I was fine.
"How was it like getting saved by Endeavor?" She asked enthusiastically, I forced a smile. "It was awesome to see him work up close." I answered, trying to hold back a gag. She smiled at me. "I'm sure it was! You're very lucky to witness the number two hero up close like that!" She giggled. I glared at her with a smile with my body rocking back and forth and my wings puffed up.
Everytime I compliment that man I feel my soul die a little. She then turned back to my brother. "Hawks, do you believe that your sister has the potential to pass you in the future?" She asked, my brother laughed. "Of course I do! She's amazing, talented and very ambitious. Besides, she already has the fans' hearts!" He chuckled.
"Oh that she definitely does! Fans have been going crazy about your performances at the festival, what do you think about that?" She asked me, I laughed nervously. "Well I'm obviously very flattered but at the same time very confused." She laughed at my comment.
"They love your charm, confidence and your skills of course! What's not to love? You're a beautiful charming young lady!" She exclaimed. Keigo patted my head. "Of course she is, I'm her brother after all!" He laughed. "Well I'm sure the charm goes through your genes.." She giggled.
She turned back to my brother and asked him about the dating rumours going around about him. I resisted the urge to grab my phone from my lap and start scrolling to kill time. "Speaking of dating rumours, we've received a few anonymous photos of you and the number two hero's son, Shoto Todoroki. Is it true that the two of you are dating?"
My eyes widened and my breath hitched, what did she just say? My eyes turned to the screen where I saw pictures of me and Shoto at the festival and in front of the florist. What should I say? Does Shoto want me to say something? Does the commission want me to say something?
My eyes found the agent's cold stare and I gave him a panicked look, he shook his head and mouthed: 'This is good publicity. Distractions from your abilities.'
I recalled a few weeks after Shoto and I became official. He had told me that he wouldn't mind the public knowing about us, but he knew that I hated when the media intruded in my life.
I sighed and looked down, was I really about to say this live on national television? I looked back up at her and smiled. I took a deep breath and hoped for the best.
"Yes, it is true."
