(y/n's POV)The first thing I saw when I regained consciousness was, well, me. I stood in a void with an exact replica of myself standing in front of me, the only difference between us was that she, or technically me but whatever, was wearing a black stealth suit while I was wearing my hero suit. I looked down at my body, I was completely uninjured, no bullet wound, not even a scratch.
When I looked up, the other y/n caught my gaze and we stood there staring at each other for what seemed like hours. "Who are you..?" I finally spoke. "I am who you were meant to be.. And who you will be if you don't listen to what I'm about to tell you." She replied, even her voice sounded exactly like mine. "What?" She smiled at my question and started walking towards a bench that had appeared out of nowhere. She motioned for me to sit down next to her and I did.
"We're the same person y/n, the only difference is that I gave in completely and you haven't." She explained, I nodded slowly. "So you're me, but you've completely given up on becoming a hero... I see, you're telling me this will be my future if I give up completely?" She nodded, making me purse my lips and look down. "So... Are you from the future or something?" I asked again, she shook her head.
"No, I'm just a figment of your imagination. I am what you will become if you give up on becoming a hero." I frowned, if she was supposed to be me if I gave up then she'd be an assassin, and I've already killed people, doesn't that mean that I already am her? "I know what you're thinking, but no you aren't me, not yet at least. You haven't given up yet. You never have. Deep down," She said, her finger pointing at my chest where my heart lies. "You still want to become a hero, and you're still trying. But me,"
Her finger shifted, now pointing at her heart. "I've stopped trying. I don't want to become one anymore. I gave up." I let out a soft 'oh' and looked down. "Why? Why did you give up?" She smiled sadly at the question. "It's because I had no one to give me hope. No one to reassure me and tell me that I could do it. So I gave up. But I don't want you to do that," She turned towards me and laced her fingers into mine. "I'm here to warn you, to tell you to listen to your friends and family's words. They're all telling the truth, Shoto, Keigo, Toji, Misao, Bakugou, all of them. You CAN become a hero. It's not too late, please don't give up."
Tears were running down her face as she stared into my eyes, she was begging me to go on. To not give up and live a miserable life like hers. "She's wrong y/n, don't believe what she tells you. Hidou is the reason I'm like this, don't let her get in your way. Don't you dare give up y/n. You're only truly a killer if you do." She gripped my hands as if she was hanging onto life, her voice was desperate and frantic.
"But.. What will they think of me? What will they think of me if I tell them about my past actions? I mean I may be able to not give up on myself but what if they give up on me? What if they start hating me?" She shook her head frantically. "Trust me y/n, they won't-" "And how do you know that?!" I interrupted, ripping my hands away from hers and standing up.
She got up and walked towards me. "Because my greatest regret is not getting help. Look at me," She ordered, her hand on my chin. I gulped and obliged. "Let them help you. If you do this by yourself it'll destroy you. These people, they're your family, our family. You said it yourself once, to Bakugou, 'We all need a shoulder to lean on.'. Remember?" I thought about her words for a while.
"Yeah... You're right..." I mumbled after a while, sitting back on the bench. She sat next to me and placed her hand on my shoulder. "I never thought that I'd be talking to myself like this. Maybe I'm going insane..." I chuckled, she smiled. "Maybe. But we all need someone to tell us that we shouldn't give up, and when no one else does then you just have to take matters into your own hands. Literally."
