69. 𝘏𝘈𝘏, 𝘕𝘐𝘊𝘌

A FEW WEEKS LATER

"Finally done with this stupid extra training.." Bakugou grumbled, getting in the car. Him and Shoto sat in the back while I sat next to All Might at the front. "Congratulations on your licenses, kids." All Might smiled. Shoto and I thanked him, but Bakugou stayed silent. The car sped off into the streets and I rested my head on the door, getting lost in my thoughts.

I'm gonna have to meet up with Dabi soon. Is he gonna test me? My brother told me that the fight with Endeavor and the Nomu was supposed to be his test, so what would mine be? Wait. The serum! How could I have forgotten about that? During the mission where we saved Eri, I had stolen a small dose of quirk strengthening serum. I should take that with me to the meeting. But first I have to try and replicate it in the lab. I shouldn't waste everything that I have since I might need it later.

"Did you see that?" All Might muttered. I looked up, villains. I turned towards Shoto and Bakugou, nodding. "We're going sir." All Might turned to me, a look of concern on his face. "No, first you should check-" "The surroundings. Yeah. You take care of the evacuation. You can't fight, but we can." Bakugou responded. Before All Might could protest, the three of us were out of the car.

"I need to stop the water!" Shoto yells while running. I nod, stretching out both of my hands. Shoto grabs my right while Bakugou hesitantly grabs my left. He doesn't particularly enjoy flying with me. When we reach our destination, they let go of my hands and land on the hard concrete. Shoto releases a huge wave of ice, freezing the incoming wave of water.

The leader groans. "What's the deal with you wannabe heroes playing pretend..?" I snort. "Oh shiver me timbers and ruffle me feathers.. Now hand over what you stole, scumbag." "Those wallets and bags don't belong to you.." Shoto chimes in. He raises his hand, freezing over the villain.

"Bastard... Did you really think I'd give up with some ice.." The leader growled, breaking the ice. "We've been planning this for a month! Do you think you could defeat us this easily? Defeat our determination?! Listen you ignorant high schoolers, I'm a man who controls carbonation, I live off of excitement. No one can match my determination!"

While he was making his speech, I sent a few feathers to collect the stolen items before they got damaged in the fight. His goons attacked, making me roll my eyes. In a flash, I had him kicked to the ground with me kneeling on his chest. Bakugou was taking care of the goons behind me, knocking them out with his little explosions. "Listen, listen, let me tell you a secret.." I said, leaning into his ear. "No one cares about your determination, old man, get a life.." I whispered with a smile.

"You little!-" He shouted. I jumped off of him and shielded myself with my wings before he could hit me with a blast. I hardened my wings when I sensed him losing control of his quirk. He aimed a blast towards me, pushing me back. Heat eliminates carbonation, I need fire. "Shoto!" He glanced towards me, I motioned to his left arm. He nodded, rolling up his sleeve to reveal his toned arm. I looked away, slightly flustered.

He used his flashfreeze heatwave move, I've seen it before when we trained together, and in the sports festival. The villain flew back, his back hitting a wall of ice. He groaned, trying to get up. Before he could stand, he hit the ground again. The cause? My fist. I lifted him over my shoulder and threw him onto the pile of unconscious villains that Bakugou took care of.

"We're done here." I yawned, walking over to Bakugou and Shoto. "Are you hurt?" Shoto asked, I shook my head. "Hey!" All Might shouted, running towards us with another hero following him. The hero's name is Slidin' Go if I'm not mistaken. "Oh?! You're the crazy kid from the U.A. festival!" I held in a laugh as Bakugou insulted him.

"Did you three do this?" He asked, referring to the tower of knocked out thieves. "They were stealing the bags of passerby. We captured everyone we saw." Shoto responded. "What about the stolen stuff?" The hero asked, I nodded towards a pile of bags behind a bush. "I snatched them before they could get burnt or damaged. Bakugou helped too-" "Perfect!" He cut me off, engulfing us all in a big hug.

"You're amazing! I can't believe you're students!" Bakugou grumbled at him to let us go, and for once I agreed. I was uncomfortable. "Leave the rest to me! Slidin' Go!" He beamed. I have a bad feeling about him.. Our attention drifted back to the leader, who's gauntlets blew up. "Huh? They blew up?" Bakugou pondered. "Indeed! It's because they're using goods from the black market!"

'Bad quality ones..' I thought to myself. I've been on so many missions involving the black market I could spot a bad black market weapon from a mile away. Among other shady stuff. "You three are amazing.." All Might sighed, giving the three of us gentle pats on the head. Shoto thanked him, I smiled and Bakugou almost bit his hand off. "Now let's go home. You must be hungry."

"I need to melt the ice." Shoto said. "I'm not helping." Bakugou huffed. I rolled my eyes. "You two wait in the car, I'll help Shoto." They nodded, walking off. I broke off hunks of ice for Shoto to melt. "So, are you more comfortable using your fire now?" I asked, chucking a piece of ice towards him. "Yeah. I should thank you for that, your support really helped." He said, melting the ice I threw him.

"Well, it's nothing compared to what you've done Sho. You helped a lot when times were rough with the commission." I sighed, throwing another piece of ice I broke off with my quill. "Right, the commission. Are they.. Are they forcing you to do things again y/n?" He asked hesitantly. I shook my head. "No, not at the moment.." I muttered, my gaze focusing on the ice and avoiding eye contact.

"I'm sorry, I'm just concerned. I'm always here if anything happens y'know." He said, looking down. I smiled. "It's fine Shoto. I can handle myself better now. And I'll keep your offer in mind. It's very considerate of you to offer that." I said while carrying the last hunk of ice towards him. He took it from my hands and I could see a tiny smile making its way to his lips.

"I admire your strength love, but please make sure to not carry more than you can handle on your own. I promised your brother to take care of you, I don't want him to kill me." He joked, melting the last piece of ice. "Of course Keigo threatened you.. And yes, I'll make sure to not take on more than I can." He linked his hands with mine and we smiled at each other. "Where would I be if I didn't have you as my caretaker?" I sighed dramatically.

He pressed his lips against mine and pulled away. "You're strong enough to survive." "Don't lie to me Sho" I giggled, he smiled playfully. "Don't put me in this spot, I don't want to sleep on the couch." He joked, making the both of us laugh. I kissed him one more time before pulling away and grabbing his hand.

"C'mon let's get to the car before Bakugou hunts us down.."
