I'm ready to bleed to make amends
And sleep in this dirt we call our bed
So tell me your secrets
And join me in pieces
To fall and rewrite the bitter end
Eternally yours - Eternally Yours by Motionless In White
Metal Level: 5/5Crypto's POV
I groan and sit up as the annoying sound of my alarm clock goes off. It's six in the morning. I wipe my eyes as I yawn and turn to my side to look at Y/N, but she's not there.
There are thoughts popping into my head that shouldn't be there.
Is she all right? Did someone follow me and find her? What if they hurt her? What if they hurt our son?
I jump out of the bed and rush towards the baby's room, but there's no one there so I turn and run down the stairs, breathing out a sigh of relief when I find her there. She's sitting in the living room reading while the baby is playing on the carpet in front of her.
He looks directly at me and smiles absentmindedly. It's so precious.
Y/N puts down her book and looks at me, greeting me with a small wave. "You're up early." I point out. She nods and gets up from the sofa to sit on the ground with the baby. "He cried a while back and refused to go to bed after I consoled him. So, here we are. Playing in the living room.
The baby laughs and pushes himself off the ground, waddling over to me. "So, have you thought of a name?" I ask as I watch the tiny creature approach.
He does have my eyes.
I think Y/N noticed me staring as she says, "Yeah, he looks just like his daddy."
Once the baby reaches me, he grabs onto my sweatpants and tugs on it. I look at him curiously and hear Y/N chuckle.
"He wants you to play with him."
I guess I need to start reading books on parenting because this is going to be a new experience for me.
I follow the baby to the living room and join him and Y/N on the carpet. "So, about the name, I've been thinking. Don't Koreans have specific ways they name their kids?" Y/N asks as our son digs through a box with a few toys in it. "That tradition has been dead for years." I respond.
"I get that, but I feel like it would mean more if we don't give him just any generic name." She shifts closer to me and leans her head on my shoulder. "Well, if you really want to do that I'm assuming you'd rather have it based off my real name."
Y/N nods. "I mean, we could get technical with it and go into deeper meanings."
"Technically, we should. That's how it works. Otherwise the name comes out sounding odd." I chuckle and watch as the baby makes his way towards me with wobbly steps. He holds out a plastic animal toy for me to see. "D-do... woof!"
Y/N laughs and looks at me, clearly seeing how confused I am. "That's his favorite toy. It's actually a wolf and we've been having trouble with saying 'doggy', so he just says 'woof'."
"He learns pretty fast." I watch as he places the wolf toy down in front of me and waddles back to the toy basket.
"I mean, not really. He's learning as fast as a baby of his age should."
"What was his first word?" I lean forward and pick up the toy, absentmindedly fiddling with it. "To be honest, I can't remember."
I raise an eyebrow and look at her. "I highly doubt you'd forget something like that."
Y/N's face goes red with embarrassment and she turns her gaze to the ground. "Okay, so... it was around the time he started mimicking everything I do. I was cleaning his room and stepped on a building block-"
