It's finally 2 o'clock and it's time to start getting ready. It has felt like this day has went so slow. I've been trying to keep busy. I've already cleaned my room and re organized my closet. I'm excited for prom tonight. This will be my first prom since I skipped out on the one last year.

My mom is helping me with my hair and makeup. She's putting my hair into an updo with curls down my back and some sparkly Bobby pins to hold it all together. It took her almost two hours to get my hair, nails, and makeup perfected.

Weston was supposed to be here to pick me up at 4:30 so I went ahead and slipped into my dress. My dress was a black sparkly dress that laced up the back. In the sun light, the sparkles changed from black to blue and green. It had a trail that followed it.

My mom helped me lace up the back and then she gave me the jewelry that went with it. There was a diamond necklace and she gave me one of her silver bracelets that matched the necklace. We cut a piece of black fabric and sorta made a glove over my cast. It was sparkly black fabric that matched my dress. It covered up my blue cast and didn't take attention from my dress.

I put my shoes on last. I had found a pair of sparkly high heels that were silver. Even though the dress was black, it matched really well and you couldn't see the shoes unless you were sitting down.

"You look so beautiful sweetie." My mom complimented me.

"Thanks momma." I gave her a hug and then we both walked out. Noah was standing in the kitchen in a grey suit with a blue tie. He was going with a girl in our Chemistry class.

"Wow sis. You clean up good." Carter joked from where he was sitting at the bar. I flipped him off behind moms back. He just shook his head, laughing.

"You look great sis." Noah called.

"You look nice too bro. When do you have to go pick up Gia?" I ask him. She lives across town so he has to drive over there and pick her up.

"I'm leaving now." He tells me. I nod and watch as he goes up to mom and hugs her. He stops at me and kisses my forehead. He then walks over and shakes hands with Carter before heading out the door.

Dad walked in a second later from outside. I'm guessing Noah told him that we were finally done. "Woah, you look so grown up baby girl." Dad says as he takes in my dress. I think this is the first time I've been dressed up like this since middle school.

"I'm almost 18 dad." I say with a laugh.

"I know but you're still my baby girl. You look so beautiful." He tells me.

"I got it from mom." I joke.

"That you did sweetie, that you did." My dad laughs. "Although, you did get a little bit of me." He pokes my hair. There's a knock on the door and my dad leaves to answer it. "Hello, Weston." My das greets as he opens the door wider for Weston to come in.

Westons eyes scan the room and finally land on me. His mouth hangs open but then he hurries up and closes it. "You look gorgeous Blake." He compliments.

"You don't look too bad yourself." I say with a chuckle. He's in a black suit with a turquoise bow tie. He handed me a corsage along with the one that goes on his suit. I help him snap it on his suit and then I slide mine onto my wrist.

"Alright you two, I need pictures before you leave." My mom interrupts. She lead us outside and had us do a number of poses for different pictures. There was one with Weston and I hugging, one where we were holding hands and looking at each other, one of Weston holding me, and one of me with each of my parents. I got one with Carter as well.

"No drinking, no drugs, and no sex." My dad warns us. I roll my eyes at him but nod. "I told your brother to be home by 3am. If something happens and you aren't, text us to let us know. I think Noah is going to the after party so if you two want, you can go as well. Same rules apply."
