Westons POV
I was sitting next to Dean and watching the hot laps. I watched as Blake got the second fastest time of the night. She was just about to run her heat race when my phone started ringing. I got up and ran to my truck to answer it after I seen that it was my dad. He could be in trouble.
"Dad?" I ask into the phone.
"Weston, my boy! Where the hell are you at son?" He said with a few slurs. I sigh knowing that this conversation was far from over.
"Dad, you're drunk." I state into the phone. I hear him chuckle and then start coughing.
"You are wrong about that son." He says and tries to not slur but I can still hear it. I've picked up on his drunk ways.
"Sure. What was the point of this conversation?" I ask as I start to get aggravated.
"I want to know where you are." He says.
"I'm in Indiana." I tell him and I hear him snort.
"You aren't up there following around that little pit lizard again are you?" My dad chuckles again. I can feel my temper rising and I know this isn't going to be good. I know I should just hang up but I can't.
"She is not a pit lizard. She is everything but that. She's an amazing and genuine girl." I bite my lip to stop myself from saying anything more.
"That what she wants you to think
son. She just wants you for money." He says and that makes me furious."What money dad!? The money you keep wasting on beer or the money that I had saved up for college that you also used for beer? Or is it the invisible money that you think we have? Huh dad?" I ask loudly.
"That's enough with the attitude. I'm your father and sons don't talk to fathers that way." We went back and forth for over an hour before I had had enough of his bull shit.
"You know what dad, I'm happy here. I'm happy that I don't have to stress about you 24/7. I can be a normal teenager up here. I don't know when I will be home but if you are just going to tell me bullshit, don't call me anymore." With that, I hung up.
I sighed and hit my steering wheel. I looked outside and it was completely dark. I had probably missed Blake's feature and she probably couldn't find me so she just went with her parents.
Instead of heading back to my seat, I turned my truck on and drove to the back of the race track. I had seen a hill when I had rode with Blake on the side by side.
I drove up it and parked at the top. It overlooked the race track and you could see the town that was farther over. I hopped out of my truck and climbed on the tail gate where I sat and tried to relax. I was all worked up from the conversation with my dad and I only knew of one thing to help me relax.
I pulled a cigarette from my pocket and lit it. I took a big drag and could feel my body start to relax. I don't know how long I sat there smoking, but i also didn't really care. I'd probably just sleep here tonight anyways.

Blakelynns POV
—
I searched the whole stands and couldn't find Weston. Dean had said that he left over an hour and a half ago to answer a phone call. I walked out to where his truck was and seen that the spot was empty. It was weird that he would just leave without seeing me or texting me.
All of a sudden I see a light out of the corner of my eye. It was coming from Lovers Hill. It was a hill that was on the land beside our property. I'm not sure how it got it's name, I just know that it's what everyone around here calls it. It's a pretty abandoned place. I go up there sometimes on the quad when I want peace and quiet.
