It has been five months since Caleb was born. He hit all of his milestones perfectly and only had to stay in the hospital an extra week before getting to come home. Since he's been home, I can't say that it's been all puppies and rainbows because I've had my breakdown moments, but I couldn't imagine my life without him now.

I never knew how much love a parent holds for their child until I actually had one. Caleb has recently been growing almost over night. It seems he's always growing out of old clothes which makes me cry after each outfit that i find is too small.

Weston has been amazing with him. I was always scared that after I'd have him and Weston sees how much work it is then he wouldn't want to be involved, but he proved me wrong. As son as he hears a whimper, he'd be on his feet trying to figure out what Caleb needed.

At first he was bummed that he wouldn't get to feed him any since he was completely breast fed and didn't like bottles, but my mom showed me bottles that my dad had to use with Carter. I bought one for Weston to use and Caleb loves it. It's still not as good as it coming straight from my breast but he will at least except it.

Weston has also fallen in love with him as much as I have. He already has us and my whole family wrapped around his finger.

We had a cookout at the shop one day that it was pretty and it was the first day they met him. They all loved him and now fight over who gets to babysit him when Weston and I have an appointment or something for a couple hours. My mom made me promise that she gets first dibs since she's the grandma and apparently it's in the grandma rights book.

"Hey babe, I got his diaper bag packed and ready." Weston tells me as he walks into the living room with it on his shoulder. I was just finishing up feeding him so Wes sat down beside me.

It had been an adjustment when we came home and didn't have the doctors there to back me up. My mom stayed the first couple nights to help us get situated before she went back home. Since then I think Weston and I have really nailed being parents.

Today is Saturday which means the track is open. After what felt like forever, I'm finally getting back into racing. Since having Caleb, Weston still works full time at the shop but also travels with them to race tracks as a mechanic. I've done a few wraps here and there but mostly I just help mom with paperwork and keep Caleb in the office with me.

"Okay, thank you. I'll go change him and then will be ready to head to the track." As I walk by him, I give him a quick kiss on the lips and head to the nursery. We had moved him in here recently and just keep a camera and monitor in the room because I was the paranoid mom.

I gently rubbed his back until he woke up so that I could feed him. I let him eat until he was full before changing him out of his sleeper. I put on a gray onesie with camo pants and a black jacket. It was going to be chilly tonight so I grabbed his little carhartt hat to take with us.
