Tommy let out a yelp of surprise as he was suddenly slammed into the dust. He tried to struggle free but his attacker had him pinned.
"Get off-" He gasped as the wind was driven from his chest. "Big oaf!" he added.
"I win again." The man chuckled, sliding off him and brushing himself off.
"It's not fair, you're older." Tommy scoffed, getting to his feet and meeting Technoblade's amused blue gaze.
"And?" Techno said.
"And what? You're older, you have the advantage." Tommy snorted.
"You do realize Wilbur's older than me, right?" Techno said, raising an eyebrow. "I've beaten him a few times if I do say so myself." Tommy sputtered, realizing his older brother was right. "Just don't give up and certainly don't expect fights to be fair, your enemy in battle isn't going to wait for you to get up." Tommy felt something else slam into him from behind and he was shocked as well as confused as once again he was pinned to the ground. Techno hadn't jumped on him because he was still in front of him.
"Ah!" He choked, dust filling his nose and mouth. He started struggling, wondering if maybe this was a real attacker.
"And they aren't going to tell you they're attacking either." Tommy stopped, groaning with annoyance as he heard Dream's voice.
"Pay attention, Tomathy." Techno snorted.
"Well, I didn't realize we were at war, Technathy." He snorted, getting to his feet and shooting Dream a glare. "And... Dreamathy." He added, turning to Dream who was now standing beside Techno. "You guys are just too good, I can't beat you." Tommy sighed.
"That's not true," Technoblade said. "My nose still hurts from when you punched me like fourteen times. And keep in mind you managed to tackle me every time you did so." He added. Tommy felt a little better as he remembered assaulting his older brother.
"Well, I don't have motivation this time." He said.
"And you did last time?" Dream said.
"Excuse me? Yes." Tommy scoffed. "Techno was going to kill you." Dream and Techno shared a glance but said nothing. "What?" He asked.
"Nothing." Dream said. Tommy narrowed his eyes, reminded of when he'd been getting weapons and armor, preparing for the battle to end L'manburg, when Dream had suddenly started shouting and Techno had managed to calm him down.
"Ok, I have a question." He said, looking at Technoblade. "Dream, you started yelling at your ax back in Techno's basement, what happened? And you," He added to his brother. "How did you calm him down? Why don't I know what's going on but you two definitely do?" He asked.
"Uh..." Dream muttered, glancing at Techno who said nothing. "Techno?" he muttered.
"Now that it's over, I think we can-" Techno started. but Dream shook his head slowly.
"It's not over." He muttered. Techno's eyes widened as he stared at Dream but he said nothing.
"What's not over? Guys, this isn't fair, what's going on?" Tommy said, feeling left out and frustrated.
"Dream's just... weird," Techno said, patting Dream on the back maybe a little too roughly. Dream let out a huff and stumbled forwards before glancing at Techno who's eyes were serious. "I think that's enough training for now, I'm gonna go talk to Dream."
"Wait, what?" Tommy said. "Hey, you can't just leave me alone! I'm a poor innocent child, I need protection." Techno said nothing and turned around, heading away. He was gripping the back of Dream's hoodie as if he expected him to run away and Tommy let out a huff of frustration. "I'm telling Wilbur and Dad!" he yelled. Techno didn't turn and he kicked the ground again, turning around with a grumble. "Fine, I'll find out myself."
