Technoblade strained to remember what Dream had done a while ago. Obsidian, books, bookstand... and this. He held up a glistening enchanted book and stared at it. Am I really doing this? He thought. Everyone deserves a second chance, I know that for a fact. He walked outside, wandering away into the woods until he was decently far away.
"Here goes nothing," He muttered, placing the obsidian block down and then the bookstands. Wait, what did Dream write on the books? He thought, placing the books on the bookstands. He took out a pen and shrugged, just writing a name down. That makes sense surely. He thought, taking a step back.
He remembered Dream had grabbed the book before the lightning struck and realized that maybe the lightning would burn the book if he didn't grab it. Ok... I can do this. He thought, taking a deep breath. He placed the book for a split second before yanking it back. He gasped as a blinding white light shone in front of him and was blasted backward, landing on the ground with a thud. Is the book ok? He glanced to his side and saw it, taking a sigh of relief.
"I knew someone would trust me," Techno looked up to see Schlatt staring at him.
"It's been a while," He grunted. "Last time I saw you, you were drunk." He added.
"Fair," he said. "Anyway, I have some things to do, see ya." That's all? No 'thank you'? He snorted and shook his head disapprovingly as Schlatt wandered away.
"Just be good," He muttered under his breath. Schlatt was gone and he got to his feet with a grunt, picking back up the book and deciding he would leave the obsidian and bookstands to collect later.
"Hey Techno..." Techno looked up to see Dream. It had been a few hours since he'd brought Schlatt back from the dead and so far nothing had blown up, so Techno thought things were going fairly well.
"Hey Dream." He sighed.
"You brought Schlatt back didn't you?" He said.
"Uh... yes," Techno said.
"Why!" Dream shouted. "He's evil!"
"I don't think he's evil anymore, he's doing good, no revolutions, no explosions, I feel fine, so I think we're good, Dream." He assured his friend.
"No, no we're not doing good!" Dream exclaimed.
"Why? What's going on?" He asked.
"I haven't had a vision since this morning," he growled.
"And?" Techno asked. "Isn't that a good thing?"
"I took a nap and you know what I dreamed of?" Dream asked. Techno shook his head. "That I was sitting on a bridge with Sapnap and George."
"Ok?" Techno said, still confused. "That's good, isn't it?" Dream shook his head, letting out a sigh.
"You don't understand," he said. "I started having these visions when Schlatt died, now that he's alive they're gone, what do you suppose that means?" Techno stiffened.
"It's just a coincidence." He said, unconvinced. I've made a mistake. He thought.
"Fine, you can think that. I'm going to tell Tommy what's been going on." Dream said stiffly.
"What? No!" Techno said, standing up. "You can't tell him."
"Try and stop me." Dream vanished through the door and Techno let out a groan of annoyance and frustration.
"You get back here, you little weasel!" He yelled, charging after Dream. He knew he'd never be able to catch him, Dream was just too smart and too fast and he decided it was better just to give in. He skidded to a halt beside a tree and cursed, angry that he'd let Dream get away. How is he so fast? He thought.
He sighed and turned around, heading back for the house where he knew Tommy would soon be. He slumped down on his bed and waited, expecting at any moment to be yelled at or maybe Tommy would just agree with him that Dream was a maniac that needed desperate help.
"They're just dreams, they mean nothing." Techno looked up and saw Tommy staring at him. "I don't care if he dreams of murdering me, it means nothing." He said again.
"I thought-" Techno started.
"Please just tell me when important things like this happen, ok?" He said. Techno didn't know what to say. "Has anything else happened that I should know about?" Tommy added, eying him.
"You going to tell him or should I?" Techno shot Dream a glare as he saw that he'd once again appeared by the door.
"I resurrected Jschlatt," Techno muttered.
"You what!" Tommy cried, his eyes wide.
"That's what I said." Dream hissed.
"Shut up, Dream," Techno growled, standing up. "Your nightmares are gone, nothing has blown up, and he has done nothing wrong," Techno said. "Emphasis on the blown-up part." He added.
"That doesn't matter!" Tommy said. "It's what he will do that scares me!" he fretted. "Where is he?"
"I dunno," Techno said. "He wandered off when I brought him back, he probably went to say sorry to Wilbur."
"No way he'd do that." Tommy hissed, narrowing his eyes. "He has to say sorry to me too, you know." He said.
"I bet he will eventually." Techno shrugged.
"You don't know that." Dream growled.
"Do you realize how annoying you're being?" Techno snorted, looking at Dream.
"Leave him alone," Tommy growled.
"What do you mean, leave him alone? I've done absolutely nothing to him!" Techno stated firmly.
"You tried to kill me a few times." Dream snorted.
"If I remember correctly, you tried to kill Tommy a few times, I was trying to protect him." Techno snarled. Dream stiffened and Tommy narrowed his eyes.
"He never tried to kill me, what are you talking about?" Dream shook his head quickly at Techno, his eyes wide.
"Well, if we're telling secrets," he said triumphantly, shooting a glance at Dream. "Remember when I was holding him against the wall and you punched me?" Techno said.
"Yes but-" Tommy started.
"You were asleep and Dream was holding one of my axes above your head." Techno shot, looking at Dream again who was staring at the ground. Tommy turned slowly to face him, his eyes wide.
"Dream, he's lying," Tommy said. "He's lying, right?" Tommy said more urgently. Dream looked up after a moment, looking Technoblade dead in the eye.
"Yes, he's lying." Techno froze, confused for a moment. What? He thought. What does he mean I'm lying? I'm not lying... He shook his head quickly, glancing at Tommy who's blue eyes glistened with disbelief and rage.
"I expected better from you, Techno," Tommy growled, his eyes shining with disappointment now. "I thought one day I'd learn to look up to you, I never thought you'd lie like this." He said. He stared at Techno for a moment longer before grasping Dream's wrist and turning around. "Maybe one day I will." He hissed. Dream stared at Techno a moment longer before turning around.
"Wait, what?" Technoblade shouted, starting forwards. He was snapped out of his trance by his brother's words and he watched them leave. Dream? He thought. What is he doing?
So sorry I haven't posted for a while. I wrote some of this on a plane flying over Colorado, I'm now in Florida visiting my grandparents. I wrote like two chapters in Colorado but they didn't save.... so that was annoying. Welp, remember to stay happy and drink your water.
