'Fuck,' - you exclaimed, looking at the clock, 'I'm late.'

It was 8:34 am, although you need to be in the bar by 9 am. Yut Lung, your best friend, put in a good word for you in that obscure bar, which, according to him, has a "dope vibe".

You didn't really get what exactly he meant by 'dope', but being a bartender in some 'dope' bar is still better than being unemployed, right?

You made sure you are thoroughly prepared for the first day on a new job, which obviously was hard, since you literally woke up one hour late.

Picking up a backpack with everything you need on the fly, you left your little cozy rented apartment.

'Girl, I'm sick an' tired of waiting for you!' Yut signed while hugging your shoulders. 'Please tell me you ain't gonna oversleep every single day or else I'll tell 'em I didn't know how unpunctual you are.'

'Yeah, yeah,' you said, running toward Yut Lung's car, 'I love you too and this was the last time.'

When you arrived to the destination, you was... disappointed. It was an old building with torn up walls and a small lighting signboard saying "Banana Fish".

'What the fuck, MoonPie?' you said with a touch of chagrin. 'I was ready for almost everything... but this!'

'Don't get too worked up, sis, it's an amazing place, you're not even inside yet.' Yut explained after a moment of delay, cause you haven't called him a 'MoonPie' in a while.

'It better be true.'

You quickly looked at the stairs into the basement and, remembering that you're already like ten minutes late, entered the establishment.

It was dark at first but with each step you begin to notice the dimmed warm light in the doorway.

'I can't believe I'm doing this.' You said.

'You sure can. Now lemme introduce you to the local head.' Yut Lung took your hand to make you move faster.

After the door was opened, you saw a little minimalistic room. There was a big bookcase, table with a laptop, a plant and... and a sitting man.

He is obviously young, somewhat the same age as you, maybe like 19, blonde silky hair, slightly turned-up nose and bitten lips.

He gave you a glance and stood up to his full height, which is like two heads higher than you.

'So you're (y/n), huh?' He asked, but it didn't seem like he wants to hear something back.

'Yeah. And if you actually are the employer in that kind of place, then you shou-'

You did't get a chance to finish, cause someone speacial's elbow hit your edges.

'Ouch.'

The employer seemed to be neither mad nor angry, he was just... impressed? He does understand why did you say this, but simply thought you have no nerve to say it into his face. He took one big step closer to you.

'Okay, let's work.' He smiled.

'What? But the probation-'

'There's no need. I'll teach you everything you need now and you can start work right after it.' The man said and started heading towards the door.

'Okay...' You walked behind him looking at Yut Lung, who looked like a child who's finally got a lolly.

The bar openes up at 10 am, so you have just  30 minutes to learn everything.

Despite the fact that this place is like from thousands of years ago, it was actually cozy and kind of snug with all these yellow and some purple LD lamps. The guest room has about ten tables with a couple of natty billiard tables, many brick pillars and a stand-out bar.

'Hey, are you listening?' the blondie asked, gently shaking your shoulder. 'You can leave if you're not interested.'

'No no, sorry, I-...' You just noticed his eyes. They were like two emeralds, but the dark circles  spoiled the view. 'This place's... nice.'

'Pft- Ha-ha-ha,' he chuckled at what you just said. 'Just five minutes ago you seemed to be disgusted by the bar. '

'No! I-...' you quickly started looking for the words. 'I mean, yes, but now that I've been here longer, I'm used to it.'

Blondie stifled a snicker, cause you started blushing. No, you're not a good liar.

'Anyway, lemme continue.' He called you to the bar to show you your responsibilities.

After just 15 minutes he suddenly raised his eybrows in astonishment.

'What?' You asked.

'We're done here. You're quicker on the uptake than I thought. Go change, we're opening in 5 minutes.' He said as he closed the door to his office.

Yut Lung came and sat down to the bar just to give you a grin.

'Fuck off.' you turned around.

'You was blushin', honey.'  it was clear how much effort it takes him not to laugh.

'One more word and I will shove this grin of yours up in your ass.' You said with the most angelic face you could ever make.

'Oop- Calm down and go change.'

You did not say anything back and just went to the changing room.

'Hopefully we will work well together...' Both you and the employer thought.

Wait, something's not done...

'Damn, I don't even know his name.'
