chap IX

Ash's POV.

As I woke up I could feel my head throbbing, even though [Y/N] and I didn't—

Wait.

The flashbacks came flooding me – everything happened not as planned. Those memories warmed soul, Y/N was so beautiful and—

'Tsk, I can't fall in love.' - I whispered to myself, reminding me that the old brat has other plans on me, that everyday cuts the rest of my free young time, and, well, it'd definitely be safer if we'd stay co-workers.

When I stood up, cracking my spine, I was wondering what time is it, should I go check if  Y/N is up?

7:10am.

Great.

I looked around for a hoodie when my eye caught that big one I left yesterday because I knew I'd freeze in the morning. Honestly, I hoped that I wouldn't have to wake her up, I hate doing that, however, as I saw the bed – where she fell asleep yesterday – being empty, it was not like a relief, cause I didn't see her in the kitchen and the bathroom was also free.

Panic started filling my entire body, what in hell could happen?! If someone came here in the night I'd hear that and wake up but there was no one else besides the two of us. I hurried to check my phone and, thank god, the last notification in my notification center was from her.

new bartender: good morning! sorry, i woke up pretty early and needed to go home before the work day, but u were sleeping so i just left, the door is locked, u showed me how to do that!
okay, i'm rambling too much, thankx for yesterday, i enjoyed it. the bed is fire, tho:)

Falling onto the black armchair in living room, I kept reading the message. What did she mean by this emoji at the end?

Anyway, I headed to the kitchen to make some tea, there was no caramel tea left, so had to drink something called 'moon tea', which was given to me. I started pouring the water inside my favourite black cup, turning the TV on, why not listen to some news?

Businessman Dino was confirmed to have an adopted son Aslan. Full name is unknown yet.

What?-

Restaurant "Club Cod" turned out to be a child sex trafficking establishment only operating under the guise of restaurant. The place is now surrounded by policemen and all the people found inside are arrested. Businessman D was also in this restaurant.

The pupils of blond young man widened in shock, is this... true? Heart's beating faster as he starts to realize what he just heard from his TV.

End of Ash's POV.

You, under the pressure of embarrassment, rushed home still thinking about yesterday. So many things had happened and it left no room for clear mind.

Once you were home, you clumsily washed your face and brushed teeth, doing your favorite natural makeup after that.

Hot cappuccino warmed up your throat when it was finally done, the news on the background were barely noticeable, however, you still could hear what's going on.

There was something about that asshole Dino Goldzine having an adopted son Aslan and... His restaurant turned out to be– a what?!

You couldn't take that sort of information, it was disgusting to realize that those people actually exist, that this is not the only one place to traffic this.

With that you left your apartment and went to the bar, it feels like you haven't been to here for infinity, even though it's only been two days. You lied your hand on the door to pull it, but it was apparently closed. Usually Ash comes earlier than you, so it's never locked. Weird, - you thought. You didn't try to call and bother him with that, so you, remembering where was the extra key, found it and entered the bar.

Once inside, you did all the casual stuff such as fast cleaning of the tables and turning all the lights on.

Sooner or later, Ash will come here anyway.

Guests started filling up this place, making it loud and cozy. When the door opened once again, two familiar men came inside.

"Shorter! Eiji!" - you flashily shouted, not caring about the rest of guests. "Long time no see."

"Hi, Y/N!" - said Eiji, exposing his brightest smile.

"Heya." - Shorter sat next to Eiji at the bar so that they were able to talk to the bartender, aka you.

It was a really good thing they came, it would surely be so lame to spend the whole day here around all these unknown people. The three of you talked about daily things, who ate what and how's the weather kind of chitchat.

"Have you heard of that restaurant, which actually sells kids sexually?" - you asked boys, genuinely feeling sorry for them. "Poor children, especially that boy–" - you had to stop, forgot his name. "Aslan? I guess. He is that evel's son, that's what I heard in news, at least."

Eiji's mouth opened wider and wider with every second of your story. I forgot he was way too sensitive... Shorter also was in awe, obviously, it's not something you'd hear often.

Eiji, without saying anything, stood up and left the building, slightly closing his mouth with his hand.

"Where's he going?" - being a little bit confused about black-haired guy's sudden decision to run away.

"I- Don't know. It's not like him." - Shorter chaotically took his jacket on and followed Eiji.

What's the matter...?
