chap XV

This evening's lost its comfortability and excitement, it was kind of even freezing now, actually. Ash took off his jackets, putting it on your trembling shoulders. After your quiet "thank you" you held onto his arm tighter and headedback to his apartment, Shorter can stay alive without chips.

You got inside the warm place, steps rushing to the doorway.

"You guys got my ch-"

"No, sorry." - You said, putting in a word before Ash says something like "go get it yourself if ya want".

"Oh-h," - Pink head seemed to be able to comprehend that something had happened on the way and didn't continue questioning. "We have already done everything we could while waiting for you two lovebirds," - he looked over at the big couch and an ar,chair in front of a huge TV, "Let's just watch a movie?"

"I'm ready," - Yut Lung hugged Shorter from behind, nodding you and Ash to go lay.

Pretending you didn't hear Shorter calling you and Ash "lovebirds", you followed the two to the couch, where laid you, Ash, Yut and Shorter, meanwhile Eiji got himself comfortable in the armchair.

Unsurprisingly, no one got to choose the movie, the long-haired boy has already chosen one; it was some romantic comedy. You didn't mind as long as everyone else is okay with that.

Lights downed low, just the dimmed red lava-lamp is shining in the corner of the room, that's when you felt man's body pulling you in a hug from behind.

"So you love spooning that much, Ash?" - you breathed into his ear, slightly turning your head to him.

"Not before I met you."

Deep red blush appeared on your face and you turned your head back to the movie, making Ash giggle.

You could not focus on the comedy, your thoughts were only about one handsome blonde pressing against your body so much that you felt his heartbeat, which was just like lullaby, it made you sleepy and, more importantly, safe. "I will protect you at any cost." You recollected the phrase he said. Did he say it 'cause he was affected by the moment? Or 'cause he likes me..?

Pink tint filled your cheeks when you thought of actually dating Ash. What would it be like? More importantly, do I even love him?

I've learned so much about him, he surely trusted me, and, well, I trust him too, I would trust him with my life. But is it what people call love? I really am attached to him after all this time, attracted to him in both physical and mental ways, but again... Is it it?

Deep in thought you didn't notice how you eventually fell asleep, finally able to get the very much needed rest. Everyone in a room seemed to sleep now, everuone but not Ash. No, it's not because he really wanted to know the movie ending or whatever, he was thinking.

Ash's POV.

So that's what they meant by "you're going to regret this" thing.

Of course, what else? It's so obvious they would've tried to take away someone important to me, again. I shouldn't have brought Y/N to that ball, that way they wouldn't probably even know about her. I can't let this happen, no. I have to take care of it now.

I then started thinking of my next actions and I came up with an idea of what will I do to fix it; there's basically one thing I can do.

By the time I woke up from my thoughts, everyone was heavely and slowly breathing, so was Y/N.

I loved the way she looked while sleeping; she looks so in peace and vulnerable, I wanted to protect her sleep. I carried her to my bed, cause it was bigger and softer and, well, it's better to sleep with someone who smells fresh.

End of Ash's POV.

Opening one eye, you rubbed another one with a limped hand, noticing you're not where you fell asleep, as far as you remembered.

"Morning, Y/N. Slept well?"

Oh, here's the reason why I'm here.

"Good morning. Pretty good, actually! You?"

"I barely slept."

"Really? It's still early, you can sleep for a little while."

"Yeah nah, no need to. Anyways, are you hungry?"

"Yep, I can prepare us a breakfast."

The morning promised to be beautiful and calm, you two headed to the kitchen, beginning the day.

After finishing cooking brekkie, you two sat across from each other.

"Y/N," - he began with an insecure voice, "I think it's be safer for you to stay at this place while I'm fixing it."

"S-stay? You mean, like move here? While you're fixing what?"

"The whole situation, don't think about it, let me handle it." - You could barely hear the ending.

It's all kind of out of the blue, I mean... It sounds kind of fun. Then,
