Chapter 24

:) Calum's POV :)

Today is going to go wonderfully. I have a plan and nothing can get in the way. Luke and Sophie are out doing whatever. Michael is who knows where and Ashton is with the manager.

It is currently two in the afternoon and Meliny is coming over around seven. That gives me five hours to perfect my plans. I have everything ready.

*** 5 hours later

Meliny is almost here. I buttoned the last button on my shirt and ran my hand through my hair. There was a knock at the door. I quickly walked out and opened the door. There she stood. The most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She is absolutely perfect in the most imperfect way. She stood there in a pink, white polka-dotted dress with a white cardigan and high tops on. I couldn't stop smiling. She is amazing. 

"Hi love." I leaned down and caught her lips with mine. She seemed stunned at first but slowly began to move her lips with mine. I pulled back and grabbed her hand. I playfully pulled her in the door and wrapped my arms around her as she stumbled into me. 

"Calum... What are you doing?" She laughed that harmony that plays with my heart. 

"I am hugging the girl of my dreams." I squeezed her tighter before I let her go. 

"You ready?" I smiled at her as her nose crinkled.

"For what?" She tilted her head in question. 

"For our date silly." I tapped her nose and laughed as she hit my shoulder.

"I thought we were just staying in tonight." 

"Nope." I grinned when she looked even more confused.

"Then what are we doing?"

"That is a surprise."

"Calum!" She slapped my arm. I grabbed her wrist and pulled her into me. I leaned down and when I spoke our lips brushed against each other.

"Yes Meliny?" She shivered and that's all it took for me to crash my lips with hers. I pulled away from her. 

"Come on. Let's go." I smiled and grabbed her hand. I walked with her out to the car. She is going to love this. 

:) Meliny's POV :)

I glanced at Calum as he drove to our destination. He was wearing a black button up dress shirt, black skinny jeans, and his black high tops. He looked so sexy that I couldn't tear my eyes away from him. He looked over at me and I could feel the heat rise in my cheeks knowing he caught me staring at him. I looked out the window. I felt his hand slip into mine. I looked down and smiled. His hand engulfed mine and the warmth that traveled through sent sparks up my arm. 

He turned into a parking lot and turned the car off. I looked outside but couldn't see anything. Before I could ask him anything he was already out of the car and walking to my door. He offered me his hand and I took it. It was cold here and I could smell the salty air. We were at the beach. I didn't say anything as he pulled me towards a small light. He pulled out a remote from his pocket and hit something. 

I gasped as a row of lights lit up the dock. They lead to a beautiful sail boat that was out lined with candles. We walked down the dock. As we got closer to the boat I noticed a small table with dozens of hydrangeas sitting on top. I turned to Calum and he bumped into me. 

"Calum.... I don't have words... this is beautiful... beyond beautiful.." I looked at him breathless. I stood on my tip-toes and wrapped my arms around his neck. I pulled him down the last few inches and whispered against his lips, "How?"

"How what?" He looked confused.

"How do you make me feel like this? How are you so amazing? How did you choose me? Why did you choose me?" I looked him in the eyes.

"Never doubt yourself Mel. I did not choose you. You are not something I, or anyone else, can choose. You moved yourself into my heart. You are one of the most sincere, loving, funny, charming, outgoing girls I know. You are the reason for all of this. I would never do this for anyone. That is what makes you, us, different. You are my everything Mel." He leaned down and kissed me. It was passionate and breath taking. He licked my lower lip but I refused his entrance. He pushed further into me and bit my lower lip in another attempt. Again I refused. I wanted to chuckle at his frustration. My hands thread themselves through his hair and his hands gripped my waist. I bit his lip and he immediately gave me entrance. We battled for dominance but Calum won as his tongue caressed mine. 

Calum pulled back and rested his forehead on mine. Our breaths mixed together as our eyes met. He smiled down at me and my breath hitched. My body tingled as he slipped his hands into mine and pulled me towards the boat. He pulled my chair out for me and I giggled at his cuteness.

We had dessert because we both know dessert is better than dinner. He accidentally smeared chocolate on my cheek and then tried to "discreetly" clean it off. His discreet way was licking it off. I laughed as he sat down with a huge grin on his face looking completely satisfied with himself. 

We talked for a few hours before we walked over to a deserted spot on the beach. We cuddled up on a blanket and I rested in Calum's arm as he sang in my ear. 

"I love you Mel." He suddenly whispered in my ear. I turned to look at him. He was nothing but honest. I leaned up and kissed him with a short kiss. 

"I love you too Calum." He pulled me tighter against him and we sat there looking at the dark ocean. I couldn't think of anywhere else to be other than here. I loved him and he loved me. That's all I needed to feel happy.
