Anything Can Happen (5SOS)

Chapter 5

:) Sophie's POV :) 

"Oh My God.... I can't believe that just happened. We actually just hung out with 5 Seconds of Summer!!!" Meliny yelled as we walked out to the car.

I laughed as I unlocked the car and got in the driver's seat. Meliny's mom had left us the car and went home with her sister. I turned on the heater as I was shivering like a Chihuahua. "W-we-well th-that kinda ma-ade up for th-the fact that we missed the con-concert" I shivered as I pulled out of the parking lot and got on the free-way. 

"I just sat on a couch and goofed around with Michael, Calum, and Ashton!!! I got Ashton's number!!! He physically gave me his number!! I didn't even have to ask for it. Sophie, this is the best night of my life." She sighed with a dreamy expression in her eyes.

"So what did you guys talk about?" I gave her a knowing glance.

"We talked about everything and anything. There was never a dull moment. We all get along so well. Me and Ashton were literally talking as if we knew each other for ages. And Michael... Oh that boy.. I can't even explain the joy he brings me. And then there is Calum. He was a little shy at first but then he kinda opened up and, well let's just say, he's gonna be the death of me." Mel giggled as she thought back to not even an hour ago with the boys.

"Sounds like someones in loooove." I wink at her. Meliny glares at me and hits upside the head. 

"Hey man! Haven't you ever heard of not hitting the driver!!! I jokingly glare at her. 

"Bull shit. You deserved it."

"Yeah whatever."

"So what was happening with you and Luke? You guys seemed to be in your own little world over there." She smirked at me and wiggled her eyebrows.

"Mel, don't give me that look. We were just talking. Nothing else. He's just really nice and he's super passionate. I was a nice change from the boys at home."

"So basically, you are more in love with him now that you have actually met him?"

"No, I'm just saying tha..."

"Oh shut up Sophie, I know that little conversation meant more to you than you care to admit." She gave me that look that told me she knew she was right and I have no way out of this. 

"Fine... It meant more." I sighed in defeat. 

"I knew it! You guys are gonna be the cutest couple and have the most adorable babies!!! Oh my god! I get to be the Godmother and I'm gonna be the greate...."

"Oh my lord Meliny! Stop it. You are horrible." I couldn't control the laughter that came out. 

The rest of the ride home was spent singing along to random songs on the radio. When we finally pulled into Meliny's driveway it was almost six in the morning. We lazily got out of the car and made our way to the door. As soon as we got in Mel's room we threw ourselves on the bed. Just before I could fall asleep I remembered I had to text a certain boy from a certain band. My eyes flew open and jumped up to grab my phone. I looked over to Mel and she was knocked out. I chuckled to myself as a small snore sounded through the room. I unlocked my phone and searched for his contact. <Luke The Mighty Penguin> I laughed at his name in my phone. Of course he would put that. 

"Got home safe :) Good night Luke.... or should I say good morning :P"

I was hovering over the send button until I closed my eyes and just hit the damn button. I quickly turned my phone screen off and jumped in bed. With in seconds I was out, but not before hearing the slight faint of my phone buzzing.

 "SOPHIE! Wake up!" Meliny yells bouncing up and down on the bed. 

I groggily look over at Mel, "What in the hell are you doing?"

"Your phone has been going off nonstop for the past hour. I think you will be pleased with who it is," she smirks and jumps off the bed, running out of the room. 

I reach over to the nightstand and unplug my phone from the charger. My eyes go wide as my screen shows over fifty messages. All from Luke. I smiled as I read the first one which was at six this morning. 

"Happy your home.. but wish you were here instead :)" 

My heart just about stopped. The happiness flowing through me right now was uncontrollable. I scrolled through the rest of them and I couldn't help but laugh. Meliny came in with a smirk plastered to her face. 

"What'd he say?"

"Well the majority are, "Wake up, I wanna talk to you, I miss you, Sophie!!! Wake up!" but then there are a few from the guys saying he won't leave his phone until I respond." I looked up and Mel was silently flipping out at the door. She looked like she was gonna pass out from lack of breathing. I laughed at her until I felt my phone buzz once again. 

"Are you up yet beautiful?"

If it was possible, my smile grew ten times larger. I immediately typed a response while Meliny came to sit next to me and peeked over my shoulder.

"What are you gonna say?" Mel asked a little to loudly in my ear. 

"Dude, back up. You are ridiculous." I laughed.

"I know, but thats why you love me!" she grinned.

"Yeah, yeah. Ok. What am I supposed to say to that?"

"I don't know but make it cute."

"Yup, you're ridiculous!" I yelled as she bagan backing out of the room.

"Shut up! You love me!" She yelled back.

"Mmmhhmm" I roll my eyes.

I looked back at the situation currently sitting in my hands right now. Well what was I supposed to say to that? My heart clenched as I read the text over again. This boy is gonna be the death of me. I quickly typed a response and sent it before I could change my mind and not send it. 

"Yeah I'm up handsome ;) and might I add.. that was quite the wake up call :)"

It wasn't even a full minute befor my phone buzzed with an incoming text. 

"I'm sorry if I really did wake you, but I just had to talk to you :D"

"I'm not sorry :) What was so urgent? ;)"

"Weelll... I was maybe wondering... if you... umm. you know what hold on.."

I was confused when I saw the text and was about to reply when my phone lit up with Luke's face. He was calling me. I hesitated to answer. I was slightly nervous. What did he want? Was it something good or bad? Oh god, what if the boys never wanted to talk to us again. Maybe we were too weird for them. I looked down at my phone. There was only one way to find out. 

"Hello?"
