:) Sophie's POV :)

We almost kissed. We were so close to kissing! If that stupid guy would have just waited 30 seconds. Internally face palming myself. Now I'm sitting in Luke's car, silent, too embarrassed to say anything. He hasn't said anything to me either. Maybe he thought it was a mistake. This date started out so well too. It was absolutely perfect. Now were almost home and it's only 9 o'clock. I looked up just in time to see Luke get off the free way. Wait... we aren't supposed to get off the free way for another four exits.

"Luke?" I glance at him questioningly.

"Yeah?" He doesn't take his eyes off the road which kind of disappointed me.

"Where are we going? Home is farther than this."

"I know."

"Ok. Then where are we going?"

"I can't tell you." He's still not looking at me and I'm getting frustrated.

"Well why not?"

"Did you really think the date was over?" He finally glanced in my direction and I gasped when a hurt expression passed across his eyes.

"I-I don't really know." I hesitate as I look down at my hands.

He reaches over and takes my hand in his. His large fingers intertwined with my small ones. His warmth immediately melts the coldness that always seems to be in my hands. He brings my hand up and kisses the back of it. I blush uncontrollably and look out the window. Hoping to hide it from him. I can feel the car slow down and I look outside. We are at an art sculpture park. It's absolutely breath taking. There are lights hanging from the trees and in the grass are huge sculptures of abstract art. I glance at Luke and he already has his eyes on me. I blush at the intensity of his gaze.

Luke jumps out of the car and comes over to the passenger side to open my door.

"Thank you." He doesn't say anything in response as he grabs my hands and leads me towards the middle of the sculptures. We come around a huge sculpture of triangles when I see the blankets on the ground surrounded by candles. I gasped and looked over at Luke.

"You did this? For me?" I was speechless. No one has ever done this for me.

Luke scratches the back of his neck and a slight blush settles on his cheeks. He is absolutely gorgeous. "Yeah, if it's too much, especially after earlier, I understand if you want to go home."

"Luke." I grab his chin so he is looking at me. "This could never, in a million years, be too much." I let my hand rest on his cheek as he looks at me. He grabs my hand and leads me towards the blankets. He sits down first and I scoot right next to him. He looks over at me.

"Oh no, this just won't do." I was confused at first by what he meant, but then he grabbed me by the waist and moved me to where I was in between his legs. He wrapped his harms around me and I leaned back into his warm chest.

"Thank you." I whispered as I looked up at the night sky.

"For what." He whispered in my ear making me shiver.

I turned around so I was facing him, "For tonight. I really needed this."

He lifted his hand up to my cheek and brushed his thumb over my blush.

"You are so beautiful." I looked up into his eyes. His eyes held so much emotion. Happiness, lust, content, and something I didn't recognize. His hand was still on my cheek when he took his other hand and rested it on my waist. I shivered from the warmth. I didn't realize how close we were until his breath fanned over my face. He looked me straight in the eyes and began leaning in. Oh my god! We are really gonna kiss this time. There is no one around to interrupt us. My eyes closed as his lips touched mine.

It was a sweet kiss. Soft and slow. Our lips moved together perfectly. My hands flew up into his hair and my God was it perfection. His hands were now completely wrapped around my waist and laced at the small of my back. I had no escape and I was completely content with that idea. I never wanted to leave his arms. I felt safe and I felt like I could conquer the world as long as Luke was by my side.

We pulled away from each other just to rest our foreheads together. Our breathing was erratic and my heart felt like it was gonna jump right out of my chest. I opened my eyes and slightly looked up to see Luke already looking at me with a huge smile on his face. My heart stopped and my stomach was doing flips. I was the cause of that beautiful smile and I loved it.

After the park we headed to a 24 hour ice cream shop and then walked around. We lost track of time just talking. We talked about everything and anything. There were no limits. We were comfortable with each other. Now we are back at the hotel and walking towards Luke's room.

"Tonight was amazing, I can't thank you enough." I looked up at Luke and stood on my tip-toes. I kissed his cheek and smiled. We stopped in front of his door and he swung around to face me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and leaned down. He lightly brushed his lips against mine and whispered, "You're welcome."

I blushed for the hundredth time tonight and smiled. I yawned and leaned against Luke. I felt him move around but I couldn't see what he was doing.

"It's getting pretty late and you look tired. Do you wanna crash here and drive back home in the morning?"

"No I think I'll b..." I yawned again, "be ok."

Luke chuckled, "No you are staying here."

"That really isn't necessary. I'll be fine."

"Nope." He opened the hotel door and looked at me but I didn't move. He came over and put one arm below my knee and one arm on my back. He lifted me up bridal style and took me into the hotel. I wrapped my arms around his neck and rested my head against his shoulder. He kicked the hotel door shut and brought me into his room. I didn't see any of the guys when we walked through the hotel room.

"I don't have anything to sleep in." I looked up at him as he set me on the bed.

A mischievous glint crossed his eyes and he smirked, "I'll give you something." He left me on the bed and went to grab something out of his suitcase. He came back and handed me his Nirvana t-shirt. I got up and went to the bathroom to change. The shirt smelled like him. It was warm like him too. Just as I finished changing I realized I didn't have pants. Granted, the shirt fell just above my knees but still. Such a cheeky bastard.

I walked out of the room and saw Luke sprawled out on the bed in nothing but a pair of sweats. I chuckled.

"What?" He looked over to me with a big grin on his face.

"Nothing. I was just thinking that if you put the two of us together we make a whole outfit." I winked at him as I walked over to the bed and climbed in next to him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head near my shoulder.

"Goodnight, sweetheart." He kissed my temple.

"Goodnight, Luke."

I fell asleep instantly knowing I was in Luke's arms.
