Chapter 26

:) Sophie's POV :)

It's been three months since the boys and Mel left on tour. We've skyped every night and Mel keeps me up to date with them. They are currently in New York. Luke won't go a day without texting me and he yells at the guys when they steal his phone. I've finished all of my courses at school. I graduate tomorrow. My family will be there but the boys and Mel can't make it. We tried to figure something out, but it wouldn't work. Luke feels terrible and I've tried to tell him it's fine. He doesn't believe me. My bar, Bere é Amore, opens in a month. Just in time for Mel and the boys to be there opening night. 

I stand in front of my mirror and stare at my reflection. My cap and gown are hanging on the door behind me. I can't believe what has happened in the last year. I walk over to my bed and turn off the lights. I lay in bed thinking about tomorrow.

It's seven o'clock in the morning. My family is in the crowd and I'm sitting among my friends waiting for the professors to finish their speeches. We all cheer for each other as our names are called and we walk across stage to receive our certificates. 

"This is the rest of your education. You can do with it what you please, and you will strive as young adults. Congratulations on your achievements!" The Dean of Advisor dismisses us. 

I hug and congratulate my friends as we make our way to find our families. 

"Sophie!" I spin around and see my mom, dad, and sister making their way towards me. 

"Congratulations little sis! No more homework!" I laugh at her as she knows all to well about my complaints about homework. I hug her and turn to my parents. 

"Congratulation honey. We are so proud of you!" My dad kisses my forehead and brings us all in for a group hug. I laugh as I pull away. 

"Thanks guys! Now can we go get food! I'm starving and this cap and gown is hot as hell!" They laugh and begin walking towards the exit. I feel my phone buzz in my pocket so I pull it out. 

CALLER ID: MY PENGUIN <3

I instantly hit answer call. 

"Luke!" I scream into the phone.

"Hey baby girl! Congratulations!" I can imagine Luke grinning from ear to ear. His dimples showing and his eyes sparkling. 

"Thank you! I miss you!" 

"I miss you too hun." I can hear hesitation in his voice. 

"What's wrong Luke?" I immediately stop walking and focus on his voice. 

"It's just been so long since I've seen you." His voice is low. 

"I know." I can feel the tears building up. 

"And I thought that when I would see you, I wouldn't be so emotional."

"What are you talking about Luke?" Now I'm confused. 

"Turn around." My heart sped up and my breathing got heavier. 

"No" I whispered to myself as I turned around. I looked up and I could feel the tears roll down my face.

I was so shocked I couldn't speak. There he was in all his glory. Wearing his black jeans and my favorite red flannel. He was staring at with a huge grin. He was holding a bouqet of flowers. I dropped everything I had and ran for him. He dropped his phone and the flowers on the ground. He caught me in his arms and spun me around. 

"Oh my God! Luke!" I pulled back and kissed him. I missed him so much. The feel of his lips on mine were breath taking. He pulled on my bottom lip and I granted him entrance. Our tounges tangled together as he squeezed my hips. I pulled back and looked into his eyes. 

"How?" I whispered against his lips. 

"You really though I would miss your graduation?" I stayed quiet and looked down at our feet. He hooked his fingers under my chin and lifted my head up. 

"I wouldn't miss it for the world." He said softly as he slowly kissed me. 

"I love you." I buried my head in his chest and hugged him. 

"I missed this. I missed having you in my arms. I missed your smile, your laugh, your eyes, when you blush, and when you wrap your arms around me. I missed you." He said against my temple. 

I pulled back and kissed him again. I went to turn around and grab our stuff. What I saw almost had me falling to my knees. The tears were back. Standing there with our stuff was Meliny, Michael, Calum, and Ashton. 

"Sophie!" Michael and Meliny yelled at the same time. They both looked at each other and broke out into a run towards me. I was tackled by Michael as he got to me first. 

"Michael Gordon Clifford! She was my friend first!" Meliny yelled as Michael blocked her from hugging me. Michael and I erupted with laughter as Meliny pushed Michael and engulfed me in a hug. Calum and Ashton hugged me after Meliny and Michael were done bickering. Luke wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on mine. I smiled at my closest friends as they pushed each other around. My phone buzzed and I answered it. 

"Hey sis." 

"You ready to go get food?" 

"Yeah, tell Mom and Dad I'm bringing the guys and Mel with us."

"They already know. We all knew about the surprise Soph."

"You guys suck!" I laugh.

"You love us!" She hangs up before I could answer. I look up at everyone and they all have a knowing smirk. 

"Alright you little shits! Lets go get some food!" 

Calum grabbed Meliny and started walking. Michael ran up and grabbed me out of Luke's arms. He threw me over his shoulder and began running. I laughed as he yelled back at Luke, "You Snooze! You Lose!"

"Michael! Get your ass back here with my girlfriend!" Luke yelled. 

"Nah! I'm good bro! I like her ass better than mine!" 

"Michael!" Both me and Luke yell. I laugh as he just continues running. 

We went and got pizza for lunch. Afterwards we drove to the park while my parent went home. 

"So when do you guys have to go back?" I leaned into Luke. We were all sitting on the grass in a circle. 

"We don't." Ashton said with a small smirk.

"What do you mean, you don't?" Luke tightened his grip around me. 

"We are going to record here instead of in New York." Michael threw a daisy at me. 

"Our manager doesn't care where we record, as long as we record." Calum smiled. 

"And we chose here." Luke whispered in my ear. 

"You guys are amazing." I snuggled deeper into Luke's chest and smiled at everyone. 

We spent the rest of the afternoon at the park and just goofed around. We played on the play ground and joked around. Today couldn't have been any better.
