"That fast?" Takang tanong ko na tinanguan lang niya.
"I just needed rest. I'm physically and emotionally drained." Aniya. Kaya sinamahan ko na siya sa kabilang silid para makapagpahinga na. I understand her situation, somehow.
"I'll just update the girls about you. They are worried." Tumango siya. She told me she will turn off her phone for a while. She wants a total bed rest, tipong walang iisiping problema at issue.
Muli ay niyakap ko siya. I've seen her so devastated about her ex but never as low-spirited as this. Nalulungkot din tuloy ako. "Wag ka na iyak. I am your family. We can be your family."
"Thanks."
"You can stay here for as long as you want."
"Thanks."
"If you still need anything, don't hesitate to tell me."
"Thanks."
Tinitigan ko siya nang maigi. Hindi ako sanay na ang ikli ng reply niya. I even crossed my arms.
"Sure?" Pangungulit ko na tinanguan lang niya.
"Walang bigtihan?"
"Hurt lang ako. But I still want to live. Don't worry."
"Gagi, yong totoo? I'm sleeping by your side-"
