Chapter Twenty-Eight: AliceAlice paced the length of the new Cullen house, deciding on what to do. She had seen Bella fall of the cliff; she had seen Bella die. This would wreck Edward, this much she knew. She could tell by how far gone Jasper was.
In the few months that Alina had no longer been with him, he had spiralled. He was no longer himself. He could barely function. At first he locked himself away in his and Alina's room, although it was only his room now, not wanting to be disturbed. Edward had told everyone that he was doing this as a way to deny her death. How could she be gone when everything that made Alina her, was surrounding him.
Then came the anger. It had finally set in that she wasn't coming back. In a fit of rage, he started to destroy things in the room, hoping to finally get some sort of emotional release. It never came. If he didn't have his family with him, he wouldn't have survived; he didn't want to survive. He knew without Alina there was no him, he just never thought it would ever happen.
Jasper never recovered from his low. He didn't notice as days passed by him. He had lost everything he was. He was a shell of his former self and that's why Alice was unsure fo her next move.
She saw Bella fall from the cliff. She wanted to go see if she was actually dead but she also knew that she may not like the answer. Instead of choosing herself, she went up to find Rosalie, knowing that a second opinion would be good.
"Rose," Alice knocked on the bedroom door before entering, "I have an issue."
"What is it?"
"It's Bella. I saw her; she killed herself."
Rosalie looked up. Even though she wasn't fond of the human girl for all the trouble she had caused her family and the blatant lack of respect she had for her mortality. "Oh..."
"I was thinking that-"
"You need to go to Forks. For her father at least. Out of respect." Rosalie stood up, and grabbed her phone from the vanity on the other side of the room. She sent a text to Carlisle to come back early from the hunt him, Esme and Emmett were on. "Go now, I'll tell the others."

Alice was nervous. For once she couldn't see the outcome of the days events and it was putting her on edge. So many things didn't make sense.
How couldn't she see anything to do with the Swan's at all?
She pulled up to the house, leaving Carlisle's Mercedes on the side of the road before walking up the path. She just prayed that Bella was alive. She couldn't see her family take anymore loss. It would break them apart.
The house was dark; nobody was home. Or at least that's what it looked like. It was dead quiet but Alice felt like she was being watched.
"Hello?" She called out, hoping it was just her mind playing tricks on her.
"Alice." A voice calmly said from the kitchen. "You came back."
