Chapter Forty-Four: Ideal world

Alina passed up and down the attic, keeping to the same speed she had been maintaining for the last half an hour. She didn't know what to do anymore.

The entire family was split. Nobody was agreeing with anyone else anymore. And it was Bella's fault. Well, she wasn't to blame per say but the divide was caused by her pregnancy.

Edward, Carlisle, Jasper and Alice wanted her to end her pregnancy, concerned that it would end her life. Whilst, Emmett, Rosalie and Esme wanted Bella to keep the baby as it wasn't anything they didn't think they could deal with.

Which left Alina.

Who hadn't thought about it too in depth. It wasn't her baby, therefore why should she have an opinion on what Bella chooses. Of course, she was scared that the baby would have a negative effect on her health but she was going to be turned soon, and vampire venom heals people. Alina didn't see why everyone was concerned about.

The only thing she was worried about was the Volturi. They were already mad that Bella was human. What would they do if they heard of a human-vampire pregnancy? It would be the end of them all.

Rosalie had been looking for her sister throughout the house. She knew that she had been isolating herself away but she knew that Alina was needed downstairs. "Bella wants to see you."

Alina hummed, continuing to look out of the window.

"Have you though about it anymore?"

"No."

"Why? It's a baby, what is the-"

"Rose. It's not my place to form an opinion. It's down to Bella and Bella alone. If she wants my help she can have it. But it's not anyone's choice but hers."

"But in an ideal world?" Rosalie prompted as the sisters walked down from the attic and to the living room.

"I'm not sure. There is no such thing as an ideal world. Only dreams that we wish would come true no matter how impossible."

Rosalie laughed as she made her way over to Bella to see if she needed anything. Alina stopped in the doorway, taking in the atmosphere of the room. It was mainly tense with the mass amount of conflicting views.

Jasper looked over to his mate and opened his arm slightly so she could move into it. The movement was ever so slight but Alina knew what it meant. She slowly walked over, observing everyone in the room as she went.

Once she was in arms reach, Jasper pulled her into his side and held her close. Ever since he got her back, he hated being away from her for any length of time, espresso recently with the family's unknown future.

"How are you Bella?" Alina asked after a while, breaking the unbearable silence.

"I've been better; I've been worse. I'm good." She responded shooting Alina a smile before turning back the the battered copy of 'Romeo and Juliet' she was reading.

"As long as you're okay. That's all that matters."
