Chapter Thirty-Eight: Sorry :)

Jasper stood up and grabbed Alina's hand and led her out of the room. He kept walking, picking up Rosalie's car keys on the way, down to the garage where he opened the car door for Alina to get in. Once she was inside, he got into the driver's side and sped out of the garage and past the boarder of Forks heading towards Seattle.

When Alina asked him where they were going, he just smiled and shook his head. Telling her to ask in an hour. It had been 54 minutes and she was losing her mind.

Jasper was never this spontaneous. Anything the two of them did together was methodically planned out. It was what she loved about him although this wasn't an unwelcome change; he needed to loosen up a little.

"What are we doing?" Alina asked as soon as her hour time limit was up.

"Currently? We're avoiding Alice. She's been ringing me non-stop and I've been avoiding her calls."

"Is that why your phone is on the backseat?"

"Yes," Jasper laughed as he watched Alina glance into the backseat and then reach for the phone. "Don't pick it up. It'll spoil what we do next."

"And what are we doing next?"

Jasper smiled as he looked towards the road and then back at Alina. "There's this little place in Seattle that Bella mentioned to me..."

"Right?" Alina said, confused at where Jasper was leading this. "And what is this place?"

"A twenty-four hour wedding chapel..."

"And that's why we're avoiding Alice."

Jasper suddenly lost his smile as he looked at his fiancée to see how she was reacting. However it returned as she continued to speak.

"Brilliant. Jasper, that's absolutely brilliant." Alina laughed, reaching backwards to grab the phone on the backseat to shoot Alice a text saying 'sorry :)'. "When do we arrive?"

Jasper just pointed over the dashboard. The chapel was somewhat like the ones you find all over Las Vegas. Small and tacky but Alina thought it was absolutely perfect. She could be marrying Jasper in the middle of a war zone and still be elated.

When they pulled into the parking lot, Jasper sped around the car to open the door for Alina before the pair headed inside. The inside of the chapel was old. It had wooden walls and floors and smelt very dusty. It was all one room, similar to the ones in the town Alina had been raised in. At the end of the room stood a man dressed in black, looking through some paperwork as he took a small swig out of a hip flask.

"Hale?" He slurred out when he saw Jasper and Alina standing in the doorway. He beckoned them forward after they had confirmed who they were and began to explain how the ceremony would work. "You guys ready? Say your vows then."

Alina didn't notice the time pass as she watched Jasper say his vows. Recounting how she saved him. But soon enough, her turn came and she was stuck for words. So you spoke from the heart.

"Jasper. When I met you, I didn't trust you. But when you asked me to follow you, I did. I didn't know why until now. I followed you because I can't imagine being without you. So my vow to you is to always stay by your side. Until the end of the line."

If Alina could cry, she would be a wreck. So instead she just looked at Jasper with every ounce of love in her heart until the priest announced them as married.

"You may now kiss the bride."
