"Bye mom, see you later!" you shout and before Brindleclaw has a chance to change your mind, you burst forward. You race to the entrance of the nursery den before coming careening to a halt. Your mouth falls wide open and your eyes stare in wonder, unable to accept what they're seeing.

The world outside is massive! You'd caught glimpses of the sky before, but you never imagined it looked like this. It seems to cover everything above you, like one great big den ceiling. The sky is so slowly changing from blue to purple as other colours like pink seem to dance in between the two. Far in the distance, a great big ball of orange is moving closer towards the ground. That must be the sun!

That all without even mentioning the camp. In the nursery, you're used to seeing other cats, but it was the same seven faces over and over. The camp is surrounded by a grove of tall trees with ticklish green leaves that droop to the ground. You guess these are the trees Brindleclaw called "willows."

Rushing all about the grove are more cats than you've ever seen in your life. They came in all different pelts and sizes, and although some were familiar due to visits to the nursery, some you'd never even seen before. They all seemed to be on a tight schedule, rushing in and out of the grove, sometimes dropping a piece of prey into a giant pile in the middle of camp.

A soft breeze blows through the camp, and you are overwhelmed by a host of new scents. Rabbit meat, squirrel meat, vole meat, mouse meat, and some smells you can't even recognize come from the great big pile of dead animals. You can't wait to try all of them, try everything! A more comforting sweet scent comes from the purple flowers that ring the camp. You recognize them from when Mossfur brought some of them in as a special present for Violetkit: those are violets!

Sparrowkit comes up beside you. "Wow, it's pretty," he sighs. You nod in agreement. Suddenly, Sparrowkit is sent flying into the mud face first as Eaglekit pushes past him and you're sent tumbling out of the den entrance. It takes a few moments to recover and find your footing again. Ravenkit pads out soon after, sticking her nose in the air as she walks past Sparrowkit splayed out in the mud. Violetkit creeps out last of all.

Once Violetkit sees her brother in the mud, she rushes over to him and starts grooming him to get the mud off his face. She helps lift him to his paws. "Aw, what's the matter? Can't the widdle Sparrowkit do anything himself without a she-cat to save him?" Eaglekit calls mockingly. Ravenkit snickers and Eaglekit's smirk widens. "Mouseheart, mouseheart!" he chants, pointing at Sparrowkit with his tail.

Sparrowkit frowns and pushes Violetkit away as she tries to help clean him again. Violetkit races away to the far side of the camp. You catch a glimpse of her eyes and they look misty. Sparrowkit pads over to you. "C'mon (Y/N)kit, let's go. I know a way we can prove we're not mousehearts to those two bullies," he says.

1.You glare at Eaglekit. No, you're doing things your way and you're taking him down for his bullying, right here, right now. Messing with you was a mistake. Go to Page 16.

2.You nod to Sparrowkit. He obviously needs a friend right now and you don't want to spend a second longer here with Eaglekit and Ravenkit. Go to Page 17.

3.You tell Sparrowkit off for upsetting Violetkit and go comfort her. He's just as bad as Eaglekit. Go to page 18.
