Confused

Chapter 9

Luke "we should hang out today!"
"When?"
"Seven o'clock!"
"What would we do?"
"Go to the movies!! 🍕🍦"
"Okay lemme check."
"I hope you can!"
Great two 'best friends' going to the movies together because that's gonna be fun. I dial my moms number not sure what to hope for. "um...hi mom, Luke wanted to know if we could go to the movies at 7."
"Well...i guess, but only because Clair is going out tonight to."
"Thanks. Bye."
She hung up, and right away I get a message from yours truly. "What did she say!?"
"She said yes but I don't have a ride..."
"Bruh I'll pick you up don't be stupid."
"I know I just love giving you shit!"
"Kk be there in 2 hours."
2 hours wasn't nearly enough time! I had to straighten my hair and do my make up and find something to wear!! How could this be anymore stressful! I go down stairs and grab my straightener and plug it in. it takes almost 3 minutes to heat up so I search for a cute top, I decide to wear a pink form fit t shirt that makes me look like I have boobs. i am still wearing my black skinny jeans and decide I'll wear my converse. don't want to look like I'm trying to hard. My straightener is warm now so I run It through my hair, when it's done I look In the mirror and do a little "it's cover girl" spin. It took almost an hour to do my hair so I have 1 hour left and I know luke will leave early so it's more like 40 minutes, I start to redo my eye liner and give it wings, they look nice and make my eye lashes look bigger, I put on some light brown eye shadow and some pink lip gloss, it looks good. 20 minutes till Luke gets here. I turn off the straightener and head up stairs. I grab a leather jacket that goes just above the belly button and I'm feeling totally on point! I slip on my converse, 15 minutes. I decide to grab a snack so I won't look like a pig at the movies. finally he shows up an I walk out the door with my wallet In hand feeling halfway decent about myself.
