"I'm fine" she lied through her teeth, I could see the brokenness behind her eyes, if I argue she'll go in deeper.
"Promise me you are alright?" I ask knowing she won't break down again and that all she really needs is someone here for her.
"I promise, but I didn't lie to you, please know I didn't lie." she pleas to me, I don't know what to do.
"Let me see, I need proof." I hope I didn't piss her off. she gently rolls up her sleeves so I can see the damage she's done to herself. "Kait, please, you were doing so so well!" I cry to her
"I just broke, I didn't know what else to do."
"Talk to me, I know what you're going through and that's more than most could say."
"I know I can always come to you it's just..." she trails off into her imagination.
"Come on." I get off her bed and grab below her wrist
"Where are we going??" She asks nervously.
"I thought you wanted to go to California." I say with a sly smile.
