*Deans POV*

Meg sped forward with a knife she pulled from her waist band. I fought even harder against the invisible force keeping Sammy and I in place.

I tried to speak out, but my tongue felt heavy in my mouth. It felt foreign, unknown.

No, no, no, Ashley!

Meg plunged her knife deep into Ashley's back, right where her heart is at.

Finally, I was able to speak, but I only managed one word.

"No!" Sam, Jason, and I all yelled at the same time.

Jason tackled Meg without thought, making the bonds fall. Sam and I landed on our feet.

I ran over to Ash who lay bleeding on the ground, a good amount of blood already pooled around her knees.

Careful not to hit the knife still wedged between her shoulder blade and into her heart, I turned her around and held her to my chest.

"Ashley," I said urgently.

Her eyes were shut and she was breathing heavily.

"Ash, baby, open your eyes," I pleaded. "Come on, open them up. Let me see those beautiful blue eyes of yours."

She fought to open her eyes, finally showing me those cobalt blues.

"There they are," I whispered with a smile.

I could feel tears burning at my eyes. Ashley attempted in a smile, but she was too tired and has to much blood loss. Her face was all bloodied, both her eyes were swollen and her lip was cut. Her nose also looked broken. She looked so weak and vulnerable. Thats a strange sight for Ashley Colt. She's never weak or vulnerable.

Her lips moved as if she was trying to say something. I focused my attention onto her lips, trying to read what she was saying. Behind me, Sam and Jason were still fighting Meg, trying to capture her. I paid them no attention.

"Shhh," I hushed her. "Save your strength."

She already didn't have all that much. Her eyes started too droop again.

"No, Ashley, keep your eyes on me," I told her.

Her eyes snapped open. She started shaking her head ever so slightly.

"You don't have enough energy to heal yourself do you?" I asked.

She shook her head. Tears were visible in her eyes, breaking my heart even more.

"C-C," She stuttered.

There was a slight gurgle in her voice.

"Cas," She gasped out.

"Cas," I repeated.

Where the hell is he? He told us he would always keep her safe. Never let anything happen to her.

"Cas," She said again, sounding scared.

"Shhh," I said quietly.

I leaned down carefully and kissed her forehead. When I pulled back up her eyes were closed and I couldn't see her chest moving.

"Ashley?" I called.

No response.

"Ashley?" I called again, this time more loudly.

Still nothing.

"Ash!" I said shaking her carefully. "No, no, no, no. Ashley, wake up, wake up, Ashley."

My voice broke and a tear fell, landing on Ashley's cheek and sliding down.

"No, Ashley," I muttered.

I laid my forehead in the crook of her neck and lost it. I lost her. I lost the only woman I've ever loved like this. Can't anything in my life ever go my way?

A scream behind me caught my attention. I looked over my shoulder just as a blinding white light illuminated from Meg.

Shielding my eyes, I looked away for a few seconds before looking back.

Cas stood over the lifeless burnt out body of Meg, Sammy and Jason breathing heavily beside him. Both of then had a few cuts and bruises, but otherwise looked fine.

"You lied," I yelled at Cas. "You told us you would never let anything happen to Ashley and now she's dead! She's gone and she can never come back!"

I hugged Ashley tighter to my chest, still not wanting to let her go. She still smelled of Vanilla and my body wash that she always stole. It was a scent that I will always love and never forget.

I ignored it when Cas came around and crouched down in front of me. I ignored it when I felt the small jerk of Mega knife being pulled out of her back. Then there was nothing.

I felt a dew more tears fall while I held back a sob.

She's gone.

She's gone.

She's gone.

She's-

"Dean?" Her sweet voice met my ears once again.
