ASH POV

"We have to drive all the way to Louisiana?" I asked, astonishment in my voice.

"Yes, why?" Dean asked.

"That's almost a two days drive," I informed him.

Dean shrugged.

"I've done longer," He commented.

I groaned and perched myself on the corner of Bobby's desk.

"Anyways," Dean continued. "The guy downstairs doesn't know where exactly, but knows she's in Louisiana."

"That's so vague," Bobby said. "How are we going to find her in an entire state?"

"I think we can do it," Dean said.

"You have way to much faith in our stalking skills," I said, a small grin playing at my lips.

He grinned over at me and rolled his eyes.

"Maybe I do, but nonetheless, we'll find her," He said.

"Ok," I said.

Dean went on how he the Shapeshifter didn't actually know much about Madeline's operation. How he was only told to kidnap me and bring me to this abandoned building in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

"She would be smarter than that," I commented.

"What?" Dean questioned me.

"She knew that you would have found a way to trace me to Baton Rouge, so she would have a secondary location," I stated.

"Well, then we need to figure out this secondary location," Cas spoke up.

"Is there any kind of spell that can be used to find her?" I asked nobody in particular.

"I have a tracking spell, but it doesn't mean she isn't using spells to hide herself from anything that we have," Bobby said.

"Never hurts to try it," Dean told him.

"Give me about ten minutes," Bobby said, starting to rummage around the room, finding everything that he will need.

I get off his desk and take my place back on the floor against the wall while I wait. This time instead of Cas sitting with me, Dean joined me.

He looked at me without saying anything at first, just watched me carefully. Finally he smiled.

"Hi," He said quietly with that smile that I love so much.

"Hi," I echoed, a small smile to match my small voice.

"Listen," He started. "I don't know how to bring this into a conversation so I'll just come right out and say it."

I stared into his green eyes that always catch my attention.

"I know you're down about a few things and that you think you're the one at fault," He said. "Now, I'm not going to sit here and try and change your mind about that, but I will say that I will be here every step of the way, helping you get through it. I will always be here for you when you need me and when you don't, ok?"

I chewed on my bottom lip and finally nodded my head. I had a sneaky suspicion that he might have heard me when I was talking to Cas. I don't know how much he heard but he heard enough.

"Ok," I repeated. "I'll believe you when it happens."

I knew my words would be heard the wrong way to him and that it might seem cold, but he would understand.
