We just there looking at each other while silence covers everything. Our surroundings seem to blur in gray and black forms only allowing me to see this boy. His eyes seem glued to mine as if they're trying to see through my soul. I break the eye contact not letting me see in me.

He opens the door further and I enter the house. Silence.

"Where were you?"

"Social Service," I reply gazing around at the empty house. "Where is everybody?"

"They left," His voice seems to be on edge like he's trying to hide something but I know better than that.

"You kicked them out of their own house?" I question and my eyebrows shot up.

"I asked them to leave," He finally answers honestly.

"Why?"

"Amelia, we need to talk. I know you heard their conversation this morning and this is the reason you have been avoiding me all day." He walks towards me yet I turn around heading towards the living room.

"There's nothing to talk about," I exclaim after placing my bag down and face him.

"There's," I almost giggle at his words but the situation has made my sense of humor disappear.

"You were using me from the start which means that everything you said, felt and happened between us was all nothing but a lie and a plan that you orchestrated yourself. And I..." I halt to find the right words to describe me. "I was just a pawn to help you get done the things you wanted. Nothing but a chick you have fooled like all the others but especially me that I fell for everything you said and promised. I think that pretty much sums it up, don't you think?"

"No, it's not like that at all. This is why we need talk, why I need to talk," He states and for the first time I met his arrogant boy his voice doesn't echo like a demand or order but as if he's begging me to hear that he has to say.

"I think you talked enough all those weeks. I'm tired," I mutter and begin to walk towards the stairs. His arms grip mine spinning me. I hate the fire that booms inside of me traveling from my arm to my body. My eyes meet his and I step back taking my arm.

"baby," He murmurs and his hands cup my cheeks before I can take a glimpse of his actions. His eyes are glassy and fragile and I think I see fear flashing through them. He's just a good actor. I take his hands off of me striding away.

"Don't call me that." I retort.

"You've got to believe me, everything I said to you, every single thing I felt and confessed to you was real. It's as real as it can get. I never, ever lied to you." I shake my head not believing his words for even a second.

"Amelia, I love you,"

"Don't you dare say those words to me!" I shout and I feel tears pricking at my eyes. My body weakens and feels heavier. My breath becomes shallower while I try to gather my thoughts. And just like that, I feel a burden finding its way to my chest. I feel pain hurting from the inside but I'm unable to detect the exact spot. I just feel pain running through my veins. More tears gather in my eyes.

"I'm sorry," His voice is soft and low and his eyes mirror my pain and suffocation. I feel my body react at his words and tears slip down my cheeks as a reply to his words. I know exactly why I wasn't reacting before. I was in denial.

I couldn't believe that the angel who saved me that terrible night was able to use me. I couldn't believe that my savior who made me find my voice again, find my smile and remember my old self was using me. I couldn't believe that my boyfriend who claimed that he loved me was actually playing me and I was nothing but a pawn that needed to be a part of his plans. I couldn't because I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle it.
