His hands are holding me against him; I feel his tension reduce and I squeeze him. I lean up to my angel and see his eyes stuck on Edward. He stopped earlier; he heard my voice and just like that, I brought him back. Deep down, I know I might be the only person with that power over him; like he has that tremendous effect on me.

The officer begins to lead Edward away from us when the Principal speaks.

"Can I have some time with him? I'll bring him to you outside," I frown not comprehending the reason but the officer nods in agreement.

"I will be waiting outside," He informs and leaves the four of us alone. Once the figure of the policeman gets lost in the depth of the hallway; the Principal's voice ceases the silence.

"You have been charged with multiple attempts for rape," Edwards rolls his eyes. "The names of the girls are all given in the police along with their testimonies. You're in trouble,"

Edward's lips form a thin line as he glares angrily at him. He attempts to get the cuff off of him but doesn't manage to; except it creates a silvery noise.

"You have also have been expelled from our school and let me tell you with that history, it would be hard to get accepted in a high school in case you're interested in continuing your studentship," I lock my eyelashes as I remember Mrs. Rose words that Corbyn got expelled. He got in trouble that almost cost him his expulsion. I don't want to lose him again nor feel that void of his absence in me.

"I don't give a shit," He snaps in return.

"Very well, then you are good to go," He exclaims. "Would you like to join us?" The Principal questions looking at us. I glance up to my angel who nods. My angel's glowing eyes are fixed on Edward who glares back at him. The corners of Corbyn's mouth curve upwards as he approaches him. Edward's hands are handcuffed in his back while Corbyn grips his shirt and starts dragging him.

"Get your fucking hands off of me!" The loud sound of Edward's voice is enough. Corbyn pushes him against the near wall staring at him. His hand lands on his stomach and my eyes widen as I turn to the Principal. I frown when I realize that he doesn't say anything nor stops Corbyn's actions.

Corbyn hits his leg and Edward falls on his knees at the impact. I chew my inner cheek disconnecting my sight from them.

"He fell," My angel shrugs apologetically and the man beside me shake his head. Until we reach the front door; Corbyn has punched him, hit him, thrown him on the wall multiple times.

"I hope you remember this when you're behind bars," Corbyn says as the officer approaches them.

"Screw you!" Edwards yells and tries to run to Corbyn but the policeman holds him back. His eyes turn to mine with nothing but hatred in them. Despite the distance that separates us, I see his eyes narrow and his jaw clenches. He walks with the policeman towards the car but when he opens the door for Edward to go inside, he turns to me instead. This isn't over; he mouths and I feel chills running up and down my spine.

I shake my head to get rid of those thoughts and threats. It's over.

The engine of the car comes to life as my angel envelopes me in his arms. I rest my head on his chest following the car until it becomes nothing but a blur in the long distance and then, disappears taking with it my terror, my nightmares, my insecurities, and giving me back a piece of myself I lost when he came into my life.

The Principal approaches us with a small smile. "I wanted to thank you for your honesty, Ms. Evans. Thanks to you many girls confessed and we got saved by a person like this," His choice of words makes me grin.

"Thank you for believing me," I say earning a nod.

"And you Mr. Carter, thank you for your cooperation but I need to be fair. No fights. Are we agreed?"

"As long as she's safe," Corbyn says looking down at me. I smile peering at my angel. Even after a fight; he looks so beautiful. His blonde hair gleams under the strong sunlight and his eyes are piercing into mine. Deep blue yet clear like the sky that covers our earth. I sense my skin flushing and I lower my gaze.

The Principal leaves us entering the building behind us as we stay tanged up in each other's arms. His skin is warm against mine and despite the sensation of sweet burning, I hold on to him. The tension has stiffened his body and I run my hands on his back in an attempt to make him relax.

A beam starts to unfold in my lips when I realize what happened. Everything I got through because of that monster belongs to the past. He won't be in school, I won't looking around for him, I won't be scared of my own shadows. Corbyn won't be in danger, he won't have to fight him again risking all. We're free.

A giggle escapes my lips and my angel cradles my head. Once our eyes meet, his face mirrors mine. Happiness overtakes his face as his eyes take all of me in.

"It's over," I whisper. "He's gone," He grins as his fingers caress my cheek.

"Happy?" I stare at him in silence for a moment. Edward is gone and I'm inside my angel's embrace. What more could I want?

I nod. "Very," I confess and before I can register what is going on, he moves. Grabbing me, he swings me around. I laugh in utter happiness as his laughter fills my ears. It's a young and carefree laugher radiating joyful elation. I snake my arms around his neck tightly in order to hold on. His infectious laughter washes over me. His eyes are shinning in complete delight. His youthful grin has lightened up my world. His angelic happiness is evident, palpable. And I know that so it's mine.
