Since it there was only about 30 minutes before everyone needed to go to the auditorium, me and the girls decided to go to the bathroom to get changed and take some pictures. My outfit was a white cotton dress with tiny flowers scattered across it. I also wore a pink cardigan on top with plain white Nike Air forces that Carrie had leant me (outfit at the top). Carrie and the other girls each wore their coloured wig as well as a organza dress's that matched their colour and a black belt and boots
(Carrie's outfit).
Once we were all changed we decided to just go to the auditorium early. It was pretty much empty when we got there apart from the stage crew testing lighting and the sound system. The girls were muttering excitedly amongst themselves, quietly going over harmonies whilst the room started to fill up with the other performers. Since Bash and Aiden weren't performing, they had to wait outside until they could get in line to buy tickets. Alec and Brodie found us, however, and sat next to us as Miss Harrison walked onto the stage.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen. You all look amazing in your outfits. I know that you are all anxious to get started with the show but it is important that we warm up both our bodies and our vocal chords." She sat down at the piano on the stage and played different melodies for us to sing along to. After doing several of those activities, our dance teacher walked onto the stage for us to do more physical warm ups. Before we knew it, it was 6.25pm and we were all making our way back into the cafeteria.
"I'm starting to get a bit nervous." Tina said quietly as we sat around in a circle of chairs. I nodded my head in agreement.
"Me too. I haven't performed in front of this many people in a long time." Brodie leant over and squeezed my hand.
"Everyone's gonna be great." I exhaled gently as we all agreed with him. I mentally ran through the different chords in my head, worried that I would somehow forget them, when all of a sudden I felt Brodie's hand leave mine. I opened my eyes and saw him picking up his guitar.
"Wait are you on now?" I said. He nodded and I stood up.
"What are you doing?" He questioned and I took his hand in mine.
"I'm coming to support you from the wing."

When we made it to the edge of the stage, I was surprised to see a couple other boys waiting for Brodie, as I had just assumed he was performing solo. He greeted him calmly, but in the way he was clutching my hand, I knew he was nervous. While the act on stage was coming to an end, I pulled him to the side in an attempt to calm him down.
"Hey look at me." His multicoloured eyes bore into my own and I swiped my thumb across his knuckles. "Deep breaths now. You've got this." He slowly breathed in and out with his eyes closed until his band was announced. I leant forward and kissed his cheek which caused his eyes to fly open. "Break a leg." He nodded once and strode onto stage with a newfound determination. I stood in the wing, so that I could see onto the stage but no one in the audience could see me. Brodie was stood in the centre of the stage behind a microphone, the other boys sat behind a keyboard and the drum kit.
