Above is the dress River wears to go see Caleb

As soon as Willie said that Covington wanted to talk to me, I started frantically getting ready. Talking to him was no casual event, when Covington summons you, it's a black tie formal wear. I ended up wearing a simple short black dress with a lace back which was something completely out of my comfort zone. I quickly straightened my waist long brown hair and within half an hour of waking up, I was ready to talk to Covington. Me and Willie walked in silence to the main hall as neither of us knew what to talk about. I was extremely anxious as I was thinking about all of the ways I could have possible upset him enough to make him want to talk to me. I racked my mind but came up with nothing.

The short walk was soon over as we stood outside of the dining hall. Willie looked at me with sympathy in his eyes. He opened his mouth as if to say something but just sighed and pushed opened the door. The dining hall never failed to amaze me every time I walked in. The walls looked like something out of a Renaissance painting, all golds and creams. The floor was oak wood with a blood red carpet in the centre of the room which was underneath the grand dining table. It was the ceiling however, which was the centrepiece of the room. Parts of it were paintings that looked like they belonged in a church or museum, and the rest was a stained glass window with a glass dome in the centre which showed the full moon. Candles hung down on chains which created a soft ambience in the room. The entire scene looked like it was something out of a movie.

Despite the feeling of calmness the beauty of the room gave me, my heart started to race when my eyes landed on the head of the table. The tall, brunette man was the only one sat at the table but it was obvious that he was in charge. He never told me his real name, I only knew him as Mr Covington, but that made him seem much more mysterious, slightly even scary. All of a sudden his eyes landed on mine and he slowly rose to his feet, his brilliant purple suit making him stand out even more amongst the other black outfits. When he was stood, the room hushed to silence and Covington held out his arms and grinned.

"River, my dear. Welcome."

Its custom that before any discussions started, we feast. And boy did we do just that. I was sat in between Covington and Willie, and even though my stomach was turning from the nerves, it didn't stop me from eating at least double my body weight. There were plates upon plates of colourful foods, exotic dishes and an absurd amount of desserts compared to the amount of people that surround the table. After what felt like eternity, I pushed my plate away and sighed.

"I think I'm going to throw up" I muttered to Willie, who was looking a bit green himself. He grinned at me and continues to stuff his face with some sort of ice cream sundae until we hear someone clear his throat. He dropped his spoon and sat up straight which meant it must have been Covington who did that. I slowly turned around expecting him to be looking at me, but he was summoning a group of men who rushed up to the table and within seconds, it was cleared of all of the plates. This was it. Time to get it over with. I sighed and looked at Covington.

"Look, I'm not sure what I've done to make you call a main hall meeting, but if you explain to me what it is, I'm sure we can figure it out togethe-" He holds up his hand, effectively getting me to stop talking.

"My dear, dear River. Who ever said you had done anything wrong." I breathed a sigh of relief. "I called you here for the exact opposite reason actually. You have been performing extremely well and I simply wanted to celebrate that." The relief I felt slowly started to disappear into a pit in my stomach. Something was wrong.

"However, despite you performing well, I need pull you from tonight's performance." A low level muttering started around the table and I felt my face getting red. Covington clapped his hands which made me jump but which also made everyone quiet again. "Anyway, as I said, it is not because of anything you have done, I just need you to stay in your room." My mind was spinning. If that was all he needed what was with the entire performance. Why call everyone into the main hall. As I walked back to my room, I pondered many questions, but decided to move on.

After getting back into my pyjamas and turning on Netflix,  I heard the familiar opening of the song Covington sings, The Other Side of Hollywood. Despite missing all of the action, I was slightly grateful for not having to perform as I was exhausted. With all of the commotion coming from the performance hall, it was impossible to try and sleep so I decided to just watch The Office.

After a few hours of blocking out the music and shouting, I suddenly heard voices right outside0 my bedroom. The only voice I could make out however, was Covington's.

"Gentlemen, what's the rush? The party's just getting started and you have an eternity, after all." I silently crept towards my door, trying not to tip off whoever was on the other side that I was listening to their conversation. By the time I got to the door, I could only hear the end of the interaction.

"Um, if Willie asks, uh, not that he would, but if he does, will you let him know that I was looking for him." This must have been the ghost that Willie invited! There was something strangely familiar about the voice despite it being extremely muffled underneath all of the music. I swung open my door to see a tall blonde boy walking away, when my view was blocked by an extremely angry looking Mr Covington.
