"Woah, you look tired." Leo pointed out at lunch, "Didn't get enough sleep, huh? Yeah, when you're running on adrenaline and coffee, sleep doesn't exactly come easily-"

"Leo this is about Percy not you." Nico interrupted.

Leo rolled his eyes. "When it's Percy having a problem everyone's all ears but when it's Leo noooo it's "get over it elf"." He mumbled, pulling out some wires and metal pieces from his pocket and fidgeting with them to build something.

"Bro don't worry, I'm here if you need to talk," I assured him.

"You're so kind bro, the only one that cares about me." Leo replied

"ANYWAYS, before I gag, why do you look so tired, Percy?" Nico restated the question.

"Well someone kinda had to stay up doing the homework they didn't do over the weekend because they had a sleepover party lol," I explained with a yawn.

"He called me to ask for help," Zoë added, "at 4am. So guess who else didn't get sleep either. Haha."

"You look as proper and pretty as normal?" Leo questioned, confused.

"Because I know how to make the most of 5 hours of sleep," She joked.

I shook my head and laid it into my arms, which were resting on the table.

"Ayo Piper! Jason! Over here." I heard Leo call out after a few seconds of the conversation dying down.

I looked up confused and turned my head to the direction he was calling out to, and I saw a boy and a girl walking towards us.

They didn't look familiar?

"Hey Leo, hey Annabeth!" The girl said with a smile as she sat next to Annabeth, the blond boy sitting next to Leo.

Annabeth smiled, "Hey Piper, did you get around okay today?" She asked.

"Yeah, wasn't too hard. Thanks for showing me to my class earlier!"

Annabeth nodded.

"Uhhh who are you guys? This kinda screams stranger danger and I'm lowkey not in the mood to call the police, I already got in trouble last time I told them the school was on fire so I could leave early."

Nico cut his sister off. "uH- anyways who are you?"

I looked over at the 2 new kids curiously, Not completely ignoring what Nico admitted -cause what the fuck- but I was more interested in what was happening now.

"These are my friends that just moved here from L.A.," Leo started, pointing at The blond, "Jason Grace," now the girl, "and Piper McLean. They're freshman too."

"McLean? Like, Tristan McLean!?" I asked Piper excitedly.
