As my best friend becomes love ( a perzoe fanfic)

The first flashback

—percy Jackson age 3—

Mommy is taking me to the park today.

She says I need to make friends

I don't think I need friends, me and my stuffed flying horsey blackjack are perfectly fine

I have conversations with him all the time

But he always calls me boss.

The car stopped and mommy got out

Then she came to my door and opened it so that she could take me out of my car seat

After she did that she carried me to the playground sandbox.

There were a lot of other children there

I didn't like other people so I hid more into my mommy

"Aw it's ok Percy," mommy said

"These are other children. Just around your age. You can play with them and talk to them and then you can start inviting them for playdates and share your blue cookies with them."

Mommy said blue cookies so then I got happy

I wasn't really listening to anything else but when she said blue cookies I got really excited

She put me in the sandbox and kissed my forehead and told me that she would be talking to other people if I needed her

I looked around. I didn't really know anybody here

But I guess I was supposed to make friends 

I walked up to the nearest person which was a girl

she had curly long hair

I tapped her on the shoulder

"Hello, what are you doing?" I asked

she turned around

"making a sandcastle duh" she replies

"oh. Can I help?" I ask

"sure," she said

"my name is Percy," I tell her while we're making the sandcastle"

"I have a long name but I can't pronounce it," she tells me "so everybody just calls me Annie"

me and Annie worked on the sandcastle for a while till her dad came and picked her up

then I was alone again.

I again walked up to the closet person (which was also a girl)

she was sitting in the corner of the sandbox looking really shy

"hi my name is Percy Jackson," I said with a smile

"um hello, my name is Zoe Nightshade," she said quietly

"oh wow, that's a cool name!" I said

for the next hour, me and Zoe talked a lot

and then when mommy came she told she already had  Zoe's mom'\ number

"looks like you made a new best friend," mommy said when we were walking back to the car

"yea Zoe is very nice"

"well Zoe's mother is very glad that Zoe has finally gotten a friend." mommy said 

"by the way, Zoe is coming over for a playdate tomorrow so clean your room ok" 

I hated cleaning my room but it was fine

for the first time ever I had a friend
