Ugghhhh why school?!?!

As Zoë and I walked to school in comfortable silence, I slipped into my own thoughts

They weren't really about anything in specific, just anything that came to mind

"hey, Zo?" I said

Zoe shot me a glare. "how much times do I have to tell you; don't call me Zo"

I rolled my eyes playfully

"Whatever. Anyways, I was thinking we should throw a new year's party since the year started 3 days ago. we could have it on the 6th which should be enough time to plan and give out invitations and all"

"well, its a good idea but 1st of all every party at our school is a terrible idea and second of all where would we even host it?" Zoe said

I thought about it

"well we could just invite some of our friends, and we could host it at my place. My mom won't mind it if we bring a few people" I Reasoned

Zoe shrugged "guess we're having a new years party"

I pumped my fist in the air "yea we are!!!"

Zoe punched me playfully "shut up Jackson"

"only if you make me nightshade" I smirked

I didn't really mean it but still, Zoe got on her tippy toes and lightly kissed my cheek.

I was shocked and didn't say anything until Zoe said

"That definitely got you to shut up" Zoe giggled

I rolled my eyes then smirked at her "whatever"

We walked to school talking about the party.

when we got in school we parted ways since my first class was English and hers was Algebra.

I had English with one of Zoe's sister's, Calypso and her boyfriend Leo Valdez.

she was the 3rd to youngest one out of the 6 of them, just a few months younger than Zoe who's birthday was in December, while Calypso's birthday was in May.

I guess Leo was cool but we didn't really hang out much- though we were friends.

I walked into the classroom which was taught by my stepdad paul

"good morning Percy, please take a seat"

"morning Mr. Blofis" I replied

I took a seat in the back row next to calypso

"sup Cally," I said

"morning Perce" she replied

"how's it going, Valdez?" I said waving to Leo

"I would be better if I wasn't at school," he said groaning

though I could tell he was happy because even though he looked unhappy under the desk he was holding Calypso's hand.

it's a good thing the desks' were arranged with a desk in the middle of each row (I know its confusing but go with it) or Paul would've seen it.
