"Sup Malcolm, I'm Percy," I greeted holding out my fist for a bump, to which he obliged

The kid looked almost exactly like Annabeth, grey eyes, blonde hair, tan, and pretty athletic build (for a c h i l d-).

"So, my sister says you wanna learn how to skate?"

I put my hands in my pocket, "I already know how to skate but it's been a while so I'm tryna get back to the advanced stuff, you know?"

Behind me, I heard Zoë and Leo laughing while Leo said, "Advanced? Oh, he's definitely gonna fall."

I rolled my eyes, they really trying to jinx me huh? Out here speaking bad things into the universe, the audacity.

He pulled me to the side, a little away from Zoe and Leo, "are you guys doing a bet or something?" He asked

I nodded, "Yep."

he noddded, "alright dude, I've known you for 20 seconds but I'm gonna help you win,"

I gave him a thumbs up, "you have a plan?"

He nodded again, "Yeah, do they know anything about skating?"

I thought for a second, as far as i knew, Zoe only knew a little from the days when she would come with me, Grover, and Tyson, but she never really cared or payed attention, and after that one time we got her to try and she fell, she just never tried again, no matter how much we asked. As for Leo, the last time he did anything even remotely close to skating was when he watched a compilation of fail videos on youtube.

"Nope," i answered.

"Okay, so the plan is, I "teach" you some of the basic tricks that look kinda cool since you already know, so you don't fall, but they think it's advanced and you win the bet, sound good?" He explained

I grinned, "You're a genius, kid,"

he shrugged, "So I've been told. Anyway, turn back before they get suspicious,"

We turned around to see Leo laughing at something on his phone while Zoë just stared at him confused.

"Are you guys ready to be wrong?" I asked, smirking. This kid's definitely a genius, i just know his plan will work.

"But that's where your wrong, Percy," Leo started with an evil look in his eyes, "I've gotten on Witchtok so many times this week that my first thought when I even slightly doubted the fact that you were gonna fall was to manifest it, so guess what? I did! MWAHAHAHA-"

Zoe slapped Leo upside the head, "shut up, that's not how manifesting works and you know it. You have a witch for a girlfriend, why did you have to get on the side of tik tok with witches to know about maifesting when you could just ask her?"

Leo rubbed his head rolling his eyes, "first of all, Calypso's a "sorceress", and second of all, it's not like I get to choose what shows up on my for you page, one second I was on Weebtok and the next I was watching a video on manifestation,"

I rolled my eyes, Thank God my for you page stayed on Anime and Japanese food tik tok. Why would someone manifest after seeing one video on tik tok about.

"Anyways, let's get started," Malcolm said.

***time skip brought to you by my lazy ass that had like 3 months to write about skateboarding but decided to wath Haikyuu, My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, Mysterious Girlfriend X, and read mha and WHOLE bunch of Haikyuu fanfics. I literally now despise skateboarding and writing because of this chapter, the only thing that motivated me was the fact that I started taking a Creative Writing class at school this year. Anyways yeah, it's been 30 minutes***
