the Script

THOUGH “Since Then” is an office drama, it still centers a story of an unrequited love between the characters. The one who will be playing the character of Jane, Ms. Laisa Madrigal. We just want to know how much you can relate to Jane. You are dubbed as the Nation’s Sweetheart and this might be impossible knowing how beautiful and famous you are--- I mean. You are Laisa Madrigal Madrigal! But just to ask, have you ever be in an unrequited love?”

Laisa smiled first before answering the question of the interviewer. The questions were given beforehand and she already know this will be asked and even prepared answers to look cool but she can’t seem to remember it now. Her mind must have wanted to let her heart speak now, she concluded it that way.

“Being beautiful won’t guarantee you love.” Ria laughed a little, almost awkwardly. “In my instance, yes. I’ve been in love with someone and it was not well received.”

Exclaims from the audience followed. She smiled at them. “I don’t know if that person had feelings for me, but in the end we never met. I don’t think it will matter though since it was never said.”

Going along the MC asked. “Did you confessed?”

“I think he knew.” She nodded, keeping her sweetest smile. “I think he knew"

“I WISH that question went for me. I could have confessed to you right there at that moment.”
“Are you kidding me?”

James laughed and continued walking inside Laisa’s dressing room. Laisa is currently removing her make-up. James closed the door behind him and remained standing, leaning on it.

“It’s just that you look uneasy. Did you regret saying that?”

“Not regret, per se.” Laisa threw the used cotton pad on the near trash bin. She went back to sitting on the chair and started brushing her hair.

They are the only ones in the room that made them free to talk about whatever personal.

“Just, I haven’t actually confessed. And I was reminded of how angry I was when I found out he knew all along.”

“So you felt betrayed…”

“I’ve been thinking that way these past few months, but not earlier.”

“What made the difference?”
Laisa went quiet for a while, blinking hard on the vanity mirror in front of her. “I just wished I told him properly?”

James walked near Laisa and stood in her back. She took the hairbrush from her and continued brushing her hair.

“Call your manager. I’m dropping you off today.”

“Wait.” Laisa looked up at James. That made him stop from brushing her hair. “Why?”

“Let’s talk more along the way. Just when can we talk like this aside from today?”
