“Hold it in… Hold it in… Hold it in.
You are doing a good job.”Chapter 11

“SO YOU were that guy who saved me once?” Ria’s mouth is still on the floor until they reached Gabriel’s apartment. Gabriel is leading the way. He opened the door quietly. “Right. I’ve really been here before.”
The rain already stopped.
“But why you haven’t called? I still haven’t thanked you.”
“It’s weird to call someone to be thanked to. It’s not like I’m asking for anything.”
“You’re right. It’s my fault for not stopping by.”
They both entered the apartment. Gabriel went straight to the cabinet while Ria helped herself to the wooden chair by the table. Gabriel went back with a pink towel and handed it to Ria. “Should I give you some clothes to change to?”
“No, this is fine. I only live across the street though.”
Gabriel already figured out that much the first time they met. Ria probably lives in the area. But it became clear to him now that the woman is rich. Since across the street is the luxurious condominium complex. “Okay.”
Gabriel opened the sink cabinet and took out some tea bags. He put it on the mugs and poured hot water from the thermos. “Thanks.”
Gabriel sat across Ria on the table. The sound they make drinking the tea took over the place. It’s always nice to drink your favorite tea after the pouring rain.
“I’ve been meaning to ask you this, but why do you carry an umbrella so big? As if you don’t want the rain to touch you even your shoulders?”
“You’re right. I hate getting rained on.”
“Why?”
Gabriel finished his tea. He stood up and poured hot water on his mug to make another cup. “Because it’s cold.”
Ria finished her tea. She too asked for a refill.
“What about you? Why you wear bikinis under the rain?”
“Bikinis are meant on the beach and not just anywhere that has water on it. I too know that so stop giving me that look.” Gabriel quickly took a sip on his cup, averting his gaze. Ria continued. “I love bikinis but I hate beaches. I have to swim to it to get wet. I have to drive for it too. That’s why I love rains. You don’t know when it will come that’s why it excites you. It’s the one coming to me too. I love that it pours down on me. It feels like a shower after a long day.”
“Still. I don’t get the bikini part.”
Ria chuckled. “It’s not something need understanding about so you can give it a rest.” She sat straight on the chair. “Right. You must have been shocked. I’m sorry about that. And I hope I didn’t caused some trouble that night?”
“You didn’t caused trouble, but I was indeed taken aback. And Laisa was shocked too.”
“So you have a woman?” Gabriel whispered the last sentence but Ria still heard. His eyes trembled but he stayed quiet. “I should do some explaining, then.”
“Explain what?”
Ria shrugged. “Our set-up? Our will be set-up.”
Gabriel poured hot water on his cup again and sipped a little. The taste of honey is starting to fade. “Do you think explaining could make her agree? This is still ridiculous though I did.”
